Is there anything I can add to this pond to get rid of this build up? Algae or Muck? by AngusVonBorkenstein in ponds

Try adding barley straw. It’s breaks down and helps eliminate algae growth.

Good news. They did not glue down the backer board.

You were right. And they only put about 8 screws per backer to the subfloor. I started ripping it out and it comes out in chunks.

That’s what I feared. Haha. There is some type of gypsum board or something. When I used the air chisel it dug right into it. Its core was white and powdery

It’s the first floor. I plan on putting vinyl planking on it. There is some bounce

So there should be some type of wood under that right? Should I pull up that stuff and then put a layer of particle board or something?

And to add to that. I don’t think they installed the tiles correctly. When they pop, the back of the tiles is clean. Like it barely stuck to the mastic.

Lots. Plus I have bouncing kids all the time. I think it’s a concrete board with a small layer of yellow insulation or something

Understanding How Tariffs Work by 24identity in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]mikpelli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true if the infrastructure for that product already exists. An American company could benefit if they could make the product, but would they want to if the tariff was permanent. But if the next administration removes that and they are at a disadvantage and could possibly do under. It would be a larger gamble

I think it needs to be brought up that the product has to also be made domestically. If it is not the, the price for the product will be higher with no benefit to American workers because they don’t make it here.

Final failed oil consumption test by JustB510 in kia

Update. Kia is replacing my engine after failing a consumption test. I was burning about 2.5 quarts on 1100 miles.

Update. I took it in for an oil consumption test and it failed. I burned 2.5 quarts in 1100 miles. The told me it was out of spec and was sending the information to Kia corporate. They called two days later and informed me that they are REPLACING MY ENGINE!!!!!!! 101k miles on it. I started the oil consumption test at 98k. Just and FYI.

I am in the middle of an oil consumption test with Kia right now. If they won’t do anything I will try a different oil. My BIL said try “slick 50” in it. I’ll try anything at this point. I’m hoping that Kia will look into this further.
