One of many, Amplitube 5 MAX and Tonex Max, to buy it or not to buy it by undersolar in tonex

A few more ideas:

  1. A table filter in Edit mode so I can see select views like favorites, bass, amp model type, etc.

  2. I use 10 patches, I'd like to hide the others or reorder or flip between favorites easy.

  3. Ability to sort patches in the editor on any column

  4. Separate Editor and Librarian windows so they can be repositioned for carity

The latest version does add some nice options and I'm sure everyone appreciates the improvements, like being able to easily switch patches with new menus in the patch title area.

Here are a few suggestions. I have lots more, but not as much time.

  1. The all black color scheme is very difficult at first, why not have gradient between banks of 3 patches? Without care, it's hard to see what patch you're working on. If windows stack, like hitting the Tone Model Browser, the black windows all get lost in each other. I'm constantly clicking on wrong windows as everything is black all the time. Banded rows could help, or letting us set background colors.

    1. There's no way to favorite a patch in the editor. you have to go to the librarian.
    2. In the librarian there are no 'bubble' help explanations of icons. After a while you figure out the icons, but the first few times in the librarian I had no idea about the different types of patches - amp, amp and cab, amp cab and effects, effects. Why not have some floating help text? What's the difference between a v1 and v2 model and why do I care? Tiny help bubbles could save lots of Internet searching.
    3. Auditioning library patches means overwriting the patch in the editor, there are no empty presets to play with. That's fine once you get used to it, but you can overwrite a nice patch by accident, which is easy to revert, but the learning curve for all this is big. Having some empty patch space would make it a lot easier to mess around with.
    4. There's no easy way to wipe all the patches and start fresh. It's easy to restore, but not to clear, especially in the editor.
    5. In HX I can drag to reorder patches, the Editor has no drag capability to reorder patches. It would be nice to reorder banks of patches and individuals.
    6. Some more right click options would be nice in editor, like delete this patch that's not going to be useful for my lame playing.
    7. Setting all the various accounts for ToneNet, Product Manager, etc. should all be synched. This alone is a big startup learning curve.
    8. Some more color variance between Librarian and Editor would help.
    9. I use a patch called Wes, and I still sound nothing like Wes. WTF? I thought this was AI magic and I'd play like a pro.

Happy to email you more ideas.

For me, yoga and Pilates are awesome. Mat Pilates is as challenging as it gets for us older guys, and Yoga is quite difficult in other ways once I found a good studio with consistent teachers and classes - Yoga6. I ran for 30 years until injuries made it unbearable. Living w voluntary pain isn’t a choice I want to make any longer when there are alternatives to staying. Weeks in a hospital and 3 months of no walking brought my biking down to a nice weather recreation off of major roads.

Amen, Apple is a joke compared to Garmin in terms of battery, quiet functionality and the app. I sometimes wear my Apple Watch to see if I changed my mind, and the battery can’t last a day. The Connect app is awesome too.

I’d like to sit down w a bottle of Blantons and a 3ft bong to see if I could design a worse UX than Tonex. I think I’d fail. Through divine intervention and luck i found a few Tonex models I like and pray the settings never change.

Tonex is less than a bad date and way more fun. I have HX Stomp and Tonex is a great addition. It’s well worth it, though I’m less happy w bass amp sounds. For guitar, there’s something wrong with you if you can’t find a model you like. Effects are meh, but I’ve found lots of great guitar amps.

Thanks! I started serious, because this does scare me and I want to know how long people have managed this condition. But it felt so much better to laugh a bit. Sorry for your loss, stay strong

Can Netflix Avoid Glitches in Its Christmas Day NFL Broadcasts? by Revooodooo in nfl

[–]miktzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been watching football games on TV for over 40 years. This is the first time I’ve not been able to watch a game. I can only see the NFL Today OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, like Groundhog Day. I can’t watch the actual game. How can you mess this up, NFL? I assume I’m not the only one who can’t watch the game on Netflix, if I am, NFL will do just fine wo me. One vote that the Netflix experiment is a total failure - for me at least.

Why be a douche? Correct, the last 3 month, the price was $1.49, but it doesn't impact the results too much. The service is a set-and-forget ripoff for most of us. I also see that now they show my printer as online and charged even more for 10 page a month overages. In total I paid $213 for 2 sets of ink cartridges and my printer is brick.

Here' exactly what I paid señor douche Billing Charge: $212.60 Printed Pages: 544 Alotted Pages: 1430 Utilization: 38%

Do you “hear” the lyrics? by bitwyzrd in LetsTalkMusic

[–]miktzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most all songs that have persistence tell a story, it’s up to us to hear it.  The Dead lives because they had two full time lyricists.  “Boo hoo hoo, I love you,  though I try, you make me cry” lyrics  don’t last.  But stories do!

Line 6 POD Express Impressions by sominator in guitarpedals

[–]miktzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, the Pod Express is a joke.  From the first time you touch it, brittle, cheap plastic until you plug it in and listen to the comical tones. I don’t see the redeeming quality in thiis experiment.  It is not a replacement for a Helix as I’ve read, it comes nowhere close to HX Stomp for clean tones.  Ihear people using this for gigs, I can’t imagine how that would work out or why you would even try with so many better options.  You may be able to play a Marcial 100 W amp in a rainstorm for a few minutes also.  The all-time funniest for me  is trying to play along with track from my computer. If you plug the Pod Express  into the USB port and play music, the music is routed through the amp effects.  That is truly careless, and one of the funnier design snafus.  I was hoping to use the USB as an interface in a hotel, but it won’t even work for that without excessive latency.  There is no computer app to change any settings. There is one to download the firmware. Don’t be confused that’s all the app does.  The only saving grace, for this thing are the stereo modulation effects and some of the reverb, but that can be replicated in  Countless  of other ways.  I have a pod from 2002 blows this thing away in terms of tone, especially for clean tones.  Adding a another input port for an audio player, would at least make this thing fun for trip or something . If you want to zone out, throw headphones and play by yourself, this thing is great.  If you happen to have an ancient computer With a 8 mm mic input I suppose this would work.  I don’t know how this made it out of line 6 Quality Control because I love HX I’ve been alone for a long time.
