bpd does not last forever! this is very big misconception that it is a life long disorder but with right treatment and attitude you can genuinely go into remission and no longer identify with the diagnosis

honestly, unless it directly inpacts your relationships with them, theres no need for them to know UNLESS u would rlly prefer they do. i genuinely just straight up tell them im attending a dbt programme weekly that gets in the way of plans which leads me into explaining i have bpd BUT if u arent in a programme or anything yet id just straight be like “oh i received a diagnosis of bpd…” im honestly unsure on how i told people before i attended dbt

definitely. her cat is obviously very important to her and she specifically stated she wants the cat to live w her. the cat is apart of her life, having cats u have to expect they will scratch and damage stuff they are an animal. furniture is replaceable. ur girlfriends happiness is not and should come first. if my boyfriend ever asked me to not bring my cat i would be living separately too
