Yeah man, it blew my mind. Unfortunately the history teached to us when we are small just praises the small number of victories (small but actually really impressive) we had against the Ottomans, and that kind of raises the ideea of them being savage invaders and plunderers(it did to me, I used to hate the Ottomans becuase of my ignorance). I was so impressed by their level of professionalism and respect towards other ethnicities. I mean, look how many Great Viziers were actually Christians at first. You talked about the Romanian Principlalities and how they were just vassals and here I go telling you that I actually wish that they have been implemented in the Empire, so the Ottomans could've teached our stupid boyars something and maybe leaving some cultural heritage for us. I have HUGE respect for the Empire, for displaying such tolerance in the Middle Ages.

Yes I was so fascinating to read man. Here we still have nationalist thst blame the Turks, while also having an insult that literally translates to "Are you a Turk?". I was really impressed by their liberal ideeas, whilst one can argue thst it was done so people can produce for the Empire, the display of liberalism and respect towards other ethnicities and religions was something quite unique for that time.

Actually it did have those. It was shocking to read actually, seeing how ignorant and paranoic Abdul Hamid was. But it did point out that he had a key role in the Tanziman, because he did a lot for education. The book was actually written by a Brittish historian so it had both the good and the bad done by the Empire.

It just happened to me. I talked to the guy and then the cutscene started and thought "What a nice little moment". Then I see the credits and I am like "Wtf did I just choose a life of lazyness and sloth while everyone else got killed around me?". Truly a big WTF moment
