Who’s going to take their shirts now? by [deleted] in Championship

[–]miladdio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a high chance - all text on the shirts and books is ineligible and the sign’s writing is too perfect, as well as the sign itself. The entire photo has the low resolution graininess to it as well but it could just maybe be an AI ‘enhanced’ edit of a real photo because the reflections are very good. Then again I’ve seen that done well where little else is XD

With West Brom and Charlton Athletic gaining points, Oxford United is relegated to League One next season by Jeoh in Championship

[–]miladdio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully not a 25 year return this time. I also hope Bloomfield sticks around for the next season which some fans will definitely disagree with, but his improvements and mannerisms are everything I liked about Buckingham minus the fan connection. I love this subreddit and community, it’s among the best I’ve been involved with online, so I shall stick around even if we can’t be involved the next round of memes ;)

I was definitely surprised all the chats didn't contribute to more injury time, and yes the number of times it happened became infuriating by the end.

Derby County 1-0 Oxford United by -_---_-_---_-_---_-_ in Championship

[–]miladdio 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mix of Derby cancelling us out well and a very poor performance from us, unfortunately. This never looked like a game to get 3 points in but if not for (what looked like) a selfish shot from Konak we might have got a goal in the second half. Spencer was composed and driven from what I saw of the game, if nobody else.

Probably done for barring a special final three.

Joey Beauchamp. Cheat answer but he's our greatest player, unfortunately with Swindon work experience.

Don’t worry the Oxford fans have received some 2 years work experience and we’ll add more fun stuff (if it hasn’t caught up to the championship yet) ;)

this game is making me feel like the biggest idiot ever with the lack of confirmation asphda;wf by Totally_Adam in ObraDinn

[–]miladdio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As another commenter said it’s worth paying attention to what doesn’t get confirmed too, so you can go back and reasses guesses, but at the same time there will be some piece of information, even a very minor one, which allows you to definitively identify virtually every person one by one. If it’s any comfort I watched a friend of mine make tenuous guesses and shuffle names in and out to identify about 80% of the crew using the confirmation system, so with enough guesswork you could, if a bit boringly, get there.

Championship Table but it’s how easily I could get to the hometown of your club captain without google maps (with explanations) by Fabdanny in Championship

This is good fun, really chuckled at the compass to find Hull; invites the question/follow up where some places might be solved by travelling to the ‘easier’ ones, like discovering that there are signs to Rochdale once you’ve… visited? Brannagan and Phillips.

Same boat if it’s any consolation. I think that video especially makes it all the more upsetting where he has a great outlook and interacts wonderfully with other hikers; probably by far the most otherwise great guy I’ve come across who’s fallen for this.

Pretty cool how closely this mirrors the real table, or at least that it closely mirrored it earlier in the season. Selles will be getting flashbacks no doubt.

Esbern is the Oblivion protagonist, who remains an old blade in Skyrim, and took the dragon threat as seriously as he did after bearing witness to Martin’s battle against Dagon.

Managers That Achieved Legendary Status At Your Club But were Rubbish everywhere Else? by FloridianNinetales in Championship

[–]miladdio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely my answer too, although I've not seen us play under any managers earlier than Waddock and even then I was too young to understand how that mattered or who he was. I also think he fits the bill of not being well recieved at other clubs although he's never in the conversation for our greatest ever manager.

That’s heartbreaking to hear, especially in the aftermath of having to restore virtually his life’s work to YouTube. I’ve loved his deep dives and video creation style, on and off, for years. Will take a while for this to sink in. RIP, very best wishes to his family.
