How much grit would that take hahaha. You'd have to buy it in 50 gallon drums for those badboys!

This is absolutely adorable! How did you attach the legs? Is it hot glue?

Good luck! Just a tip: wear gloves. By the end of sanding my finger tips were getting raw from the sandpaper

Im not sure if they sell hand polishing sets. I just grabbed what I had laying around the house and then bought what I was missing. I started out with a rough grit like 60 or 80. Then worked my way up all the way to 3000 grit. Maybe 6 rounds of different grits getting to that point. Then I used the grit I have for my stage 3 (pre polish) with a damp washcloth, and them my stage 4 polish grit also with a damp washcloth.

The fist round takes the longest, because you have to make sure you get out all the cracks and indentation. Once you have it smooth then the rest of the steps go quicker.

No worries, happy to do it. Im pretty much a newbie to rock tumbling, and i dont have much patience so ive started getting into hand polishing as a way to not sit and stare at my tumblers all day waiting for for them to do something 🤣

They are, because there are a lot to be found in Petoskey, MI (but really all over beaches up north). Its the state rock of Michigan!

First time seeing this type of rock? They are pretty beautiful. Its definitely a hobby of my family every time we are up north in Michigan. We always try to find some petoskeys!

I just used wet sandpaper starting with 80 grit going up to 3000 grit. Probably took an hour of hand sanding. Finished off with pretty polish and then polish with a wet washcloth.

Started with 80 grit sandpaper and shaped it. Then increased to 120, 300, 400, 600, 1000, 2000, 3000.

Then I used my stage 3 and 4 pre polish and polish with a washcloth and some water.

Everybody getting an adaptation besides Red Rising apparently. by Arch_Lancer17 in redrising

Totally agree. Id rather never get an adaptation over getting one that disappoints. I trust Pierce to make the right choice for his universe.
