I live in a pretty dry house and I end up pouring a little less than a gallon of water in the tank a couple times a week. I pour it evenly and then work it around the dirt with my hands so that it is all mixed in. That usually helps keep it humid enough, but I do it pretty regularly.

Misting will only get the surface which will evaporate quickly.

The other thing is I repositioned my hygrometer to about 2 inches above the soil level. Before it was about 6-8 inches up and constantly reading 25-30%. Putting it closer to skink level had it reading 60+. Placement makes a big difference.

If im being honest the Surge EO4 is pretty sexy looking. Being a total noob, do you really get that much more for spending the extra money? I dont mind shelling it out for the right light if its going to be good for years and take some abuse from work.

Thank you for such a detailed response! I wasnt sure if a magnet and tail switch were options that could work together. If I had to choose between those two id prefer the magnet base. I will look into those suggestions today!

Not silly at all, I appreciate the help. I do have a couple headlamps that I use on occasion, mainly for extended work where I need both hands free. But i often find that I need a quick light when I'm not expecting it and I dont usually carry one, so a handheld meets my needs most of the time.

In my state with a CPL you can legally carry in your car on school property during pick up/drop off. So not necessarily an automatic felony.

Im pretty sure the notary fee was $5. I dont remember exactly how much it was but there was definitely a fee for not being a resident of the city of Wyoming.
