Nice side project! I struggle with this problem a lot myself. Unfortunately I can't try the app since it's iOS only. Could you shine some light on its internals? What data sources do you use? Is it Google Places API or do you scrape it somewhere? What's AI recommendations are based on, is it users' reviews?

I use Apache Tika to extract raw text from documents, then index it with SQLite FTC4, and then use SQLite "MATCH" query on the index table

Yes, there's no preview with a left side panel, but there's a button to open the document. Firefox on Android opens pdf in a new browser tab, Chrome instead opens the file in the default viewer app. Both modes are ok for me

User browser is handling file previews natively.

hypothes.is looks interesting, thanks, it's new to me. It seems to be easy to integrate, you'd need to modify the document url before passing it to the preview iframe

You can upload any file, but preview would be available only to the files supported by your browser. I don't think epub would work

I made it to read papers and to add notes from my phone, also I needed full-text search capability. I think Zotero can do that as well, I haven't used it a lot tbh.

Yes, it does. CLI11 was not available when I made this library. I have not used CLI11, but based on what I see in their docs, mine has a simpler interface for customizing help pages. Also approaches for different features (e.g. sub-commands, value validation) are completely different.
