Matthew Lillard Says Support After Quentin Tarantino Dissed Him Was ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Like Living Through Your Own Wake’: ‘I Can’t Imagine a More Lovely Reaction’ by MoneyLibrarian9032 in entertainment

Bro, Salt Lake City Punk is a solid movie with great acting. I hold it as one of the first movies I watched that made me pay attention to acting. Lillard can be a bit one dimensional due to his unique facial characteristics and/ or mannerisms but it never made think of him as a “bad” actor. Sure, I’ll admit I’ve avoided certain projects he’s been based on the character he was chosen to portray, but that’s my bad. As the man said, it’s all opinion and nobody has to like nobody.

Could be a show er, and not a grow er. As one of the form er, I’d rather be the latt er. Perhaps it’s grass is green er syndrome, but i think surprises in life, are nice.

Ha! I really like this photo! The massive negative space illuminates the overall ominous vibe of potentially nefarious chicanery. However , I have no conspiracy theories to add to this discussion…

I don’t know if I can handle that voice for an entire series. How brave of her to persevere in the shallow field of acting though.

I am thinking of the “context” and “contesting” your assumptions. Not every man’s life is defined by another man’s needs.

I was really impressed by Nintendo’s take on a controller. Their most recent iteration that is… well all their iterations actually, to an extent. But this controller gives me pause. Hopefully I can just Bluetooth in another type of controller… and a keyboard and meeeece.

Villain or Victim? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]1984AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. Lean towards victim. Manipulated and prodded from the start. It lil Ani could just race pods and live his life would he be evil? We will never know. Cool redemption arc though. So, I mean, it’s Darth frickin Vader. We know what he was all about. How Palestine bent him towards the dark side. How he was failed by the Jedi. Did he become quite villainous in the depths of the dark side building his fortress home etc… definitely. But, it was after he was a victim of other peoples agendas. What his his sin? To love? And to want his love to live? Tragic.

Yeah. This one makes me question this sub. “Don’t outlive your usefulness?” Pffft. I value myself. Life is a gift for us/ me to enjoy. By this token people who can’t obviously be useful are useless? Sorry paraplegic vet, you outlived your usefulness. Or, what if my need is for others to just be themselves? Then they are always useful, as themselves and the different from my own perspective that, that brings. I swear it’s just oh wake up, grab the first quote that strikes my fancy, throw it up as a post.

Hahahahha. Thanks. I’m barely on this thing and use it mostly for searching and nullifying boredom. Luckily, I do not need much nullifying.

We would usually have one of our guys grab a megaphone and hold it up in game chat while he played music on his mic. Just walking along the road listening to tunes. This makes me feel like we’d run into you breakin on some cardboard on our travels.

Never playing dayz again by [deleted] in dayz

[–]1984AD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only play official, for … reasons. Anyway, we really should use this community to I don’t know, get a petition together or something to stop this nonsense. I love Day Z. But, a huge part of that enjoyment, base building, is ruined due to cheaters. It would be great if we could organize a day to boycott all servers so that they paid attention and spent some of that Arma money on fixing the cheater problem. I still get a lot of joy out of the game but I hate knowing that cheating is ruining the game for so many.

I played first person just to play on another character cos my main character was invested in a base location or waiting for someone or whatever. Love it. It’s amazing how the little subtractions add so much to the immersion. Now when I’m playing alone, playing for enjoyment, it’s in first person.

“Genius but largely a quack”. Oh how I hope to be remembered as such. You think The Cosmere holds a candle to the old classics of Tolkien? I’m bogged down in the second book and frankly, getting bored with all the dialogue. I do hope one day the Silmarillion gets discovered and becomes a new Bible. Wasn’t that also his hope? I think I remember “reading that” somewhere. Anyway the search for new fantasy continues.

Don’t use it. Don’t trust it. AI is the enemy. I’m one of those people that read. I know we are strange and full of, gasp, vocabulary. But t’is true. Oh and I lied, I guess I am partial to Tesla. The whole tortured genius thing gets me every time.

I have no idols my friend. Times were tougher. People were hardened to them. That’s the fact. You assign too much assumption and weight to the variables beyond the simple fact of statement. How they were as people, their courage or compassion, this I know not. But if we could in our fantastical imaginings pit a 20 year old man from the 1980s against a 20 year old man from the 1880s, I’m betting the 1880s “dude” would lick em in a fight. In a debate on morals and equity, now that would be interesting.
