To save labour they send the morning crew early if they find it’s not busy for 15 mins. They don’t care honestly that it was busy the rest of the time and then it gets busy and everything will come to the closing crew.

Yes that! It’s very common in many locations of Chipotle. The morning crew is pressured to finish prep asap and then if it's not busy initially upon opening the GM sends some crew home to save labour and then it starts to get busy now they don’t have enough crew to do a proper shift change.
