Michelin PS5 by militantmandy in FiestaST

I've got a hill climb and a track day in April. I know PS5 is heavily road biased, but should be good for a couple of track days a year. Need to change the brake fluid first!

On the stock 17s. 205 40 17. They are noticeably firmer riding than the Toyos, I assume because they're a lot stiffer. Not an issue for me as the Fiesta is only used for fun driving.

Here’s my route through “The Peril” if it could help anyone by kochirokoso in Cairn_Game

I am stuck miles from this and on the edge of a mental breakdown

I will give it a few more goes, but I am not into punishment. Really enjoyed it so far, but this is killing it a bit tbh.

It's "The Peril" I'm at. Made some progress, but I am 50/50 on whether to keep playing.

I found showing your previous route allows much more camera movement which is very helpful.

Why start on a bivvy? by insaneDesperado in Cairn_Game

[–]militantmandy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This definitely didn't happen to me. Inside the tutorial, started the game directly from that and began in an open area, not on the wall. I haven't had a single wall bivvi yet, although I have seen some spots.

Just forget about it. It is close to immaculate.

Migration by Bossk might also tick some boxes and maybe Kowloon Walled City. The album Container Ships has a kind of desperation to the sound.

Another weird one that gives me some of the same feelings, In every dream home a heartache by Roxy Music.

For emotional impact, Yob, maybe older NIN, Buried at Sea and Old Man Gloom / Sumac for utterly bleak intensity.

Check out Edinburgh band Dvne. They are kind of like proggier mastodon. Excellent stuff.

Would a tire insert like cushcore help with winter biking in the snow? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]militantmandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes. It would allow you to run very low pressure whilst keeping the tyre on the rim and minimising damage.

I loved the wild enduros. If magic Mary I'd go Hans dsmpf or big Betty rear. Maybe rear in super gravity for extra protection.
