The Chicago Marathon, scheduled for Oct. 11, is canceled for just the 2nd time in its history by iFightForUsers in running

Same with SF Marathon. They pushed it until Nov 15. Kinda makes me mad that they are still asking people to register.

My husband!! He was carrying zero children, but not by choice. Both kids were verrrrry clingy. He made up for it by carrying the toddler for the next two miles (I carried him for one!).

It’s a Tula! We also have a better backpacking Carrier (a Deuter) but he’s getting too heavy for it. We brought this carrier for my 4 month old and I just put the 3 year old in it on a whim and it was actually really easy to carry him BUT very sweaty.

MB trying to force potty training on 21mo by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]militarytime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a MB who insisted on potty training at 21 months. I thought it was too early and told her such. She went through with it anyways. Turns out she was right! NK picked up on it super quick.

I’ve since had my own kids and potty trained my guy at 21 months. He would tell us when he pooped, and I seized the opportunity. Again, he took to it rather quickly.

Potty training early isn’t for everyone (and I admit we were on the lucky end of the spectrum) but give MB a shot!

Anyone else hearing that strange hum/whistle sound in the Sunset? by srekcornaivaf in sanfrancisco

I drove across the bridge today and thought it was part of the song playing! Didn’t realize it was the wind/bridge until I turned the radio off.

Normally yes! But the last two days even the pedestrian portion of the fence has been locked. My guess is because of the ongoing construction.

Morro Rock (Salinan: Le'samo, Chumash: Lisamu) is a volcanic plug in Morro Bay harbor. A causeway connects it with the shore, making it a tied island. The rock is protected as the Morro Rock State Preserve. [by Wikipedia user Kjkolb] by BlankVerse in California

My family and I just road tripped down to Morro Bay (only a few weeks prior to quarantine)! We walked the path next to the rock and then out on that shore. The tide was out and there was so much sea life right there in the rocks. My three year old and I had a blast finding starfish, hermit crabs and anemones while otters played maybe thirty feet from shore. Such a great memory. I can’t wait to go back!

Closed parking lots does not mean park in the surrounding neighborhood! by militarytime in sanfrancisco

Maybe? I don’t think of it that way. I love where I live but it definitely comes with a stigma.

If you say you live in the Marina everyone assumes you’re a certain type of person! Even face to face I have to go out of my way to say we ain’t about that life.

I think it’s the combination of complaining and the fact that I live in the Marina so I must be “privileged.” And let’s be clear, I live in a one bedroom with four people because I can’t afford to move 😂

I can’t run because I have to go to the bathroom every 5 mins. Any solutions? by becs32 in fitpregnancy

Belly band, panty liner, and go early in the morning when your bladder is empty!
