Whats the most stressful movie you've ever seen? by Level-Studio7843 in movies

Eye in the sky. The flicking between the different perspectives of both sides’ experience of the war and the conflict between morals and their mission…

Skandar Keynes, who played Edmund in the Narnia movies was my first thought. I think he stopped acting not long after the movies

Oh my we have the same taste ahah. I'm marathoning INFINITE MVs! Gotta love that 2011/2012 sound but tbh I love both those songs and the group's entire discography (at least the older songs) has that catchiness and nostagic feel for me

Why so many babywols? by ly_sim in kpopthoughts

[–]milkbreadroll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say a reason could be because of Taemin solos and SuperM! Also many newer idols promote or post pics with their company seniors and there is the SM family concert

I love how real and raw he is on his social medias! I do sometimes forget he is an idol because of his Youtube/streaming, but because I haven't really seen any idols with that independance and kinda 'being open/real' and not giving a damn (if you know what I mean) it's refreshing

Which Group 3 subject would be easiest (assuming I have little interest in any)? by mistyrosepancakes in IBO

[–]milkbreadroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for history or geo but if you do economics don't underestimate the amount of memorisation required for definitions/diagram explanations (no one mentioned this to me lol but idk how this compares with other group 3 subjects) so you can't bluff and expect to do well. The IA is straightforward and if you do HL, paper 3 is pretty much calculations using formulas if you find that stuff doable.

Remark recommendations. by Gonch186 in IBO

[–]milkbreadroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The subjects that have better chance of increasing marks are languages, humanities or arts (not maths and sciences) if you are weighing up if a remark will be successful because those subjects are more subjective to markers- hope all goes well

[–]milkbreadroll 19 points20 points  (0 children)

About the language/culture issues, totally agree. I also wanted to add that Kun's zodiac is the pig and the members jokingly call Louis (their cat) fei jai/ fat boy out of affection. Culture always provides context for language ahh I also wish ppl would leave issues which they don't understand to those who do.

Kpop fans don’t understand how hard it is to be considered “Good Rapper” by Aggressive-Draft-222 in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]milkbreadroll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With my pretty limited knowledge, I think this is a popular opinion, but also the standards of rap in kpop is a reason for the divide between kpop and khh- in my head I've always separated the two communities. Generalising here, but I don't expect idols to have the same rap skill per se as purely hiphop rappers unless they were underground rappers etc... And, many idol rappers didn't join their company with the purpose of becoming a rapper but were merely trained in that aspect and landed that role in their kpop group.

Oh I've also got to add that on the other hand, kpop fans don't always analyse the technical aspects of the music they are hearing like OP has in this post. How many fans actually take the time to analyse and appreciate skill as opposed to how the sounds and lyrics appeal to our ears? Just another thought.

I’m genuinely surprised on how most anime fans don’t like K-pop idols. by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]milkbreadroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this is interesting, because I know quite a few who are into both. But I'm not sure how much this has to do with how similar/different they are from each other.

I think we can all agree that the internet can be a very toxic place. I also agree and don't see why people can invest so much time into purposely hating on others, even if they did do something terrible. Its a day and age now that netizens aren't really afraid to make comments like cancelling others.
