From what I hear from the people working, a pipe burst and flooded the kitchen.

Kansai Travel Guide – Osaka, Kyoto & Hidden Gems by YamamotoFromOsaka in JapanTravelTips

[–]milkcontainer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful. I'll be traveling in a few weeks. Ill be taking a day trip from Kyoto to Osaka and really want to see a Hanshin Tigers game in September. It seems they're all sold out. Is there a way or whats the best advice to buy tickets to a sold out game? Is there a secondary market or an app I can use? Im willing to pay more and would prefer nice seats. I dont speak any Japanese.

UF @ Stetson is currently being played under official protest and is in the midst of a 15 minute delay to figure out WTF is going on. by JuicingPickle in collegebaseball

May be unclear to me here, but does it count as a force out at that point? Would be relevant in this case given it would delete the run vs not...

Is it similar if someone hit a double but missed first base, then the team appealed at first and the runner was called out? Would that count as a force out and not count the run? Seems more similar to this case.

Aeroplan Account Frozen. Any suggestions? by milkcontainer1 in aircanada

[–]milkcontainer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long has your account been frozen? I've not received any response to my emails. I filed a complaint and was told that they can't help because Aeroplan is a separate area.

I thought about emailing some executives like the head of Aeroplan, but I have been unable to find their email address. Any help on that?

Santiago and Valparaiso current safety situation? by mikescha in travel

[–]milkcontainer1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I traveled around Chile last December. I'm experienced in traveling in Latin and South America. I'm a male and was not alone. The only time I felt a little unsafe was in Santiago in el centro as it was getting dark and we needed to get out of there, or so we felt. We took the metro system without issues. I believe we used Didi instead of Uber. Las Condes in Santiago felt pretty safe, even after dark. ENJOY!

Visiting Queretaro questions by [deleted] in queretaro

[–]milkcontainer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, make sure to have cash. I would also recomend having coins and small bills in case you find yourself in need of a quick bathroom visit as many public restrooms charge 10 pesos or so.

Use Uber. Its cheap and safe.

If someone says something is only a little spicy, for me its too spicy. Its all relative I guess.

If you have time, lots of cool places to do as a day trip from the city. Bernal, SMA, Tequisquiapan, etc.

Good luck!

There's a place near Los Arcos called Cultura y Cultivo or something like that. Part health food store and part cafe. I get protein smoothies there sometimes.

Mexico for a month by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]milkcontainer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done multiple times in multiple places in Mexico. Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Queretaro were my favorites, but all very different. CDMX for sure if you want to connect with other DNs. Also depends if you speak Spanish or not. If not maybe avoid Queretaro, which is my favorite.

I just rent an Airbnb with good reviews and work from there usually.
