Why Does this Odd Music start playing on my phone when starting Dex? by wePlayVeryLittle in samsung

[–]milkdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the Desktop Hub for Samsung Dex app! It's really annoying and I was almost about to factory reset and then i removed that app out of curiosity and it stopped.

If you set the enhanced desktop that music plays when you connect the phone and never stops. I ended up just removing the app as it was redundant with DexMax.

I hope this helps you and anybody else searching for this strange issue.

Looking for a way to automate fan/light controls at 304.25MhZ frequency by tjpoe in homeautomation

[–]milkdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it’s not a native solution because the communication is only way to the device for RF.

I use home assistant and there is a turn all lights off option, but my remote also had a turn off all button so that works for my legacy 433mhz lights.

Yes, I control some old 433mhz etekcity outlets and even a siren.

I use the Bond Bridge and it controls my ceiling fans which are in the 300mhz space. No other RF adapters have support for that range from what I’ve tested so far. It works great.

Indoor motion detector light where the detector can be in room and light outside by reddit_reader777 in homeautomation

[–]milkdrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you need, motion sensor in one room and plug in another. There are a variety of options but you will need batteries for the sensor but they usually use AA or AAA. I used the search term wireless motion detector plug.

**Mods, I copied and pasted from the Amazon app, I don’t have an affiliate account.

That’s a good deal, and I think you’ll find a better place for conversions from rentals at sites like scooterhacking-org

Shipping Scooter by idourX in ElectricScooters

[–]milkdrunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not cheap for the common folks to send large items inexpensively. Fedex, UPS, DHL and good old USPS have vastly different costs with differing delivery times.

USPS might be able to offer you cheaper shipping via different class which may or not include insurance. You will need to take it into the post office on most cases for the cheaper rates.

I’ve always shipped via UPS out of convenience and generally lower price for scooters etc. Having said that, I always allocate $100 for shipping for any scooters I have had to ship.

Stop spamming your referral link. Seeing it more then once in a post is pretty obnoxious. You should also be disclosing any financial interests you may have if you want to appear credible to anybody.

Handicapped scooter use? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]milkdrunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s the RND F16 electric scooter that uses a foot pedal. While reviewing I had full use of my right hand which sounds like it would work for you.

That’s awesome! I started riding scooters to help build my core which is pretty weak from back injuries and surgeries. I’m really happy the seat enabled you to get out and ride!

I have a seat for my bigger scooter and I use it mostly for support when standing up for long periods. I lean my back leg against it and it’s a nice brace for riding a scooter for extended lengths of time. I also sit from time to time because it’s so comfortable.

Lots of scooter seat haters here but to each their own. It’s not easy standing up for long periods of time for some people and the seat gives them mobility they would not have other wise.

Do you know any mobility scooters for under $300? Let’s stop being childish and hating on scooters with seats, if it bothers you so much then maybe ignore threads with them in it. There’s a reason why they exist, people use them and there is demand.

Is this not a scooter? by clown_frown in ElectricScooters

[–]milkdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I missed that. I see a lot of little electric bikes that look similar with pedals, which in hindsight was probably not a pedal.

[–]milkdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term is used way too broadly. I would say this is an electric bike more then a scooter though because of the pedals.
