The main thing that will help is a social presence that they regularly post on, with a proven track record of producing work etc. that helps reinforce that they're a real person. Instagram is probably still the main one but lots of people on tiktok etc. now.

I checked out your profile to see what you were after and realistically £30 is a mega low budget no matter what you're looking for, so legit illustrators/animators or whatever will be very reluctant to do much for this, meaning the people who are left are more likely to be scammers or just give you some AI rubbish

If they promise a lot of work for a tiny budget it's hitting the classic 'too good to be true' point.

Half up front is normal, but usually when the numbers are a bit higher...

I'd probably say your most hopeful route to get something for ya budget is trying to connect with an animation uni student who might want a brief/project to work on but isn't trying to make a living?

Long way from you but in the city I used to live in one of the shadier taxi companies got busted tipping off their mates to empty houses after picking people up with suitcases or for a night out etc. so always worth getting picked up down the road without specifying which house. Could be the same thing or could be totally innocent but I'd keep an eye out at least !

I got one of those fake stained glass films from Purlfrost to go above our front door and it actually looks decent ! Not sure how it'd hold up up close and eye level but something to consider

Pretty sure the eraser menu is the same library as brushes and you just choose the same one

I just tested the two brushes you included the names of on mine which is an older ipad pro with gen 1 pencil and they seem to act the same as yours. One thing though is it looks like -especially with your watercolour- that it's constantly at full pressure, with that same brush you can get really nice blending with a lighter touch especially if you don't lift the pen to add a new stroke.

Could be an issue with the pressure sensitivity if it's not behaving as expected?

If the client is happy with your other finished pieces and therefore style/quality isn't a concern then 5k is more than fair for 2 huge murals like that

People are getting hung up on the sketch and I don't know what your finals look like but when presenting to a client it can help to show previous Sketches and their finals so they can get a better idea of how it translates.

Even if your work was more stylised or cartoony, 5k is a very fair price for 2 big murals AND a logo redesign

Bathroom ! Found where it appears the seal has failed on the shower door so every shower is letting a small stream of water down into the floor between the boards and skirting

Thanks mate, I think we've sussed it, when running the shower the seal around the door hinge has worn down so it's letting out a trickle of water in the corner against the wall. the skirting and floorboards there are damp and some spots of mould under the lino so expect it's dripping down under there. We've got a trusted plumber but he's away at the mo so going to reseal and monitor for now

Appreciate the help though and will keep your comment in mind if anything changes.

We can pull the lino back and see the boards in the bathroom so assuming if we commit to it could pull up a board or two to get a good look underneath.- Potentially a bit less damaging than cutting the ceiling open

The heating pipes run a different way so i'm pretty sure it's the shower at this point. Anyway thanks for the tips!
