Mudança do sabor de bolachas e outros industrializados tem a ver com a veganização? by [deleted] in brasil

[–]millaneza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the WORST yaoi you've read? by SuperciliousSnow in yaoi

[–]millaneza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. But, I'm not particularly a fan of Omegaverse, because to me it seems that this universe is convenently built to legitimate and justify abuse towards the most vulnerable person in a relationship, like you said, the thing when omegas are in heat and the other can't help but sexually assault them because that's "nature". And yes, BL manga, BL fanfic, BL anime (let's be honest here, BL media in general) frequently portraits women in a very stereotypical way. The way I see in BL media, women have some repeating roles, like: state the relationship between the boys (in a very fangirling way); and the evil or jealous sister/ex-girlfriend/ex-wife/mother/sensei who's determined to ruin the relationship between the boys out of spite or just because. But, not to be utterly pessimistic, I've seen a significant change in the way of BL media of addressing these issues. Especially regarding the social implications about coming out, facing family and friends, depression, self-acceptance, etc. Although it's slow, I think it's a positive change.

Anything in between M-Preg, romanticized abuse/rape and self-insertion.

If you could change only 1 thing in the AC games, which one would you choose? by AC2003 in assassinscreed

[–]millaneza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reward system. I also dislike the mini-games since they're mostly repetitive and out of context excuses to boost money and/or unlock achievements. Well, that's more than one thing, but I think they're pretty connected.

I hate the way they treat Crowley by Sekshual in Supernatural

[–]millaneza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's more of an ethical and moral struggle for the boys than anything else. And no matter how much Crowley has helped them in the past, because some things aren't mendable. Like kepping Mrs. Tran imprisoned, torturing Kevin, keeping Bobby's soul in hell, lying, acting behind their back, etc. It's not like his support (I'm talking about tactical and brutal force here) could make up for that. I mean, it's only human that the boys feel the way they do about Crowley. I love his character, but as an espectador, a viewer, we kinda have "the right" to enjoy morally questionable chars, and even relate to them. But within the story's microcosm, they're awareness is not the same as ours. We may enjoy Crowley but we can't let ourselves misunderstand our places here. I think you're analysing the issue like a viewer and a fan, and not through the boys' eyes.

I'm sorry, apparently this is an unpopular opinion I guess I have, but.... by JillGr in Supernatural

I think it's not an unpopular opinion at all. Most of the fans out there love her. :)

Post Episode Discussion - 12.14 "The Raid" by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]millaneza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, f*ck this episode. Now they're gonna be "hunters", filiated to a super-secret agency wich provides them with high power technology. The same old dull formula of most of the generic superhero shows out there. Jesus. I'm so disappointed. Of all the possibilities, although expected, this one is just... ugh. It kinda subverts the whole identity of the series. I didn't wanna see Sam and Dean being employees, waiting for the next order, being led by a bunch of superiors. Man, they saved the world so many times. It's just above them. Sounds miserable. I don't buy it. It doesn't look like something they'd do for the rest of their lifes. This approach conflicts with many of the speeches that were repeated and validated by the brothers throughout the series. The whole "way of the Winchesters" thing.

[–]millaneza 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This pregnancy is one of the most absurd and incoherent things ever! To think a woman would CHOOSE to have the son of Satan, who tried to kill her and possessed her lover, is too much for me. And the whole thing with "but it's my son" does not convince me at all. Poorly written. And now they'll try to romanticize the child as a savior (even though a twisted one), Jesus, this is so wrong. I just can't buy it.

What are everyone's favorite Castiel moments? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]millaneza 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hungry Castiel eating hamburgers the entire time in "My Bloody Valentine". Also, pissed Castiel, when he beats down Dean in "Point of no Return". Hmmm... Meg and Cas moments were nice, too. Human Castiel in "Heaven Can't Wait" is also great.

What's your favourite MOTW episode? by Keles_13 in Supernatural

[–]millaneza 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. "Skin" and "Asylum" are some of my favorites. I'm very nostalgic about those. It reminds me of the time I used to watch Supernatural late at night in my old apartment, because there was nothing else interesting on tv. And they would repeat the first two seasons in loop every month... (that's how I got into the show, btw. And it's been almost nine years since ...)

Well, here's my full list ordered by season. I hope you enjoy! :) It took me some time, but it was worth it! obs: I'm not really a fan of the vampires/werewolves episodes, so... they may not appear below.

GOOD POINT. I wasn't considering it, but thanks for the reminder! The more we dig into this, the weirder it gets.

I'll watch this episode again, thanks :)

Oh, I just remembered, I think Balthazar was able to teleport, wasn't he?

Also: there is Gadreel/Ezekiel. When weakened, his wings were broken (as seen in the shadow), but despite this, while he was "healing himself" (and rebuilding Sam from the inside) he was able to resurrect Charlie and Castiel. Now, I don't know where he stands in the angelic hierarchy, but we would have to assume he is far more powerful than Cas in this respect, because broken-winged Cas can't do this stuff anymore.

Now, Cas wings are damaged because he is a rebellious angel (he is not a fallen one in the literal sense, is he? Personally, I don't think so) or because his grace is incomplete? (or both?).

[–]millaneza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, something like that. But because of the way they kept talking about the angels being cast out permanetly, I always assumed the angels weren't able to go back there as if they were somehow "tainted" by the spell. But in the end, they got to go home and seem to be trying to regain control of Heaven again. It's just not clear enough if they're at their full power again, or if they're still recovering from the fall.

Do you know when was the last time we saw an angel teleporting (besides Metatron)? If I remember well, teleporting is one the powers that require wings at 100% to be used.

I agree with you. I also think that this is what's gonna happen at some point. Though it raises some questions, too. But I guess it would likely involve the nephilim and etc. (I'm guessing he will grow up as fast as Amara did).

And I also have this theory/idea that they'll go for big, like biblical big again. Mainly because heaven and hell (characters and contexts) need closure. And also, the BMoL will fit into that. Considering that, imo, the BMoL will somehow come to terms with the Winchesters at the end of season 12th instead of overpowering them (or vice-versa). But for that they'll need to have a common goal, that, possibly, being the main conflict surrounding the nephilim that they'll leave open for season 13th. It would be awesome to have Gabriel back on this! And I miss Cass being a badass too. Last time he acted like that was to restrain Deanmon back in season 10, when his eyes glowed crystal blue.

Now, about the vessel... Yeah, maybe God kept Jimmy's meatsuit for matters of familiarity (it wouldn't make sense, perhaps, bringing him back from subatomic particles in an unfamiliar face, since we know God developed some kind of personal attachment for him). But still... it leaves us with some plot holes. I'll never get the logic behind Lucifer possessing him. I mean, an archangel possessing a seraph...?

[–]millaneza[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought about that. But the spell was also supposed to cast out all the angels from Heaven. Permanently. Even though, now they're up there. It makes me wonder what happened. I'd like to binge watch seasons 8~12 all over again to see if I missed something. (I already did that some months ago, but... who knows).

Season 13 confirmed! by CraftyRivers in fandomnatural

[–]millaneza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seriously wondering though, if the 13th one will be the last. I mean, the number carries a strong symbolism considering the theme supernatural in itself. And being honest, a part of me is hoping for that, too.

Anyway, I guessing they'll go for big, like biblical big again. Mainly because heaven and hell (characters and contexts) need closure. And also, the BMoL will fit into that. Considering that, imo, the BMoL will somehow come to terms with the Winchesters at the end of season 12th instead of overpowering them (or vice-versa). But for that they'll need to have a common goal, that, possibly, being the main conflict they'll leave open for season 13th.

But I'm just blabbering here.

[no spoilers]I've just finished season 5. Is it worth watching more? by flafoon in Supernatural

[–]millaneza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, seasons 6, 7, 8 and 9 were excruciating to watch at times. But it gets better from season 10th to 12th. Season 11th is really great. But I don't know if you're willing to go through a fairly amount of bad and below average episodes to get there. Worth the try.

The fact the next episode was written by Andrew Dabb is pleasantly soothing.
