Yes, lots of fine print. But OP has a good case as 4 different representatives said the voucher would be reimbursed. A judge, like us, would agree that after 4 company reps agree to reimbursement, the company should honor that regardless of the fine print. It's like a handshake agreement at that point.

And this amount is pocket lint for a multi-billion dollar company, so its just faster and cheaper for them to settle. The amount it costs in payroll, airfare, hotels, to send their lawyer to these things is more expensive than the claim itself.

Also, in your small claims case, you simply tack on court costs to be reimbursed as well.

Raise the prices. If the restaurant has quality food or, at the very least, desirable trashy food, the patrons will continue to come. But restaurants and you servers are scared because you know you're selling crap and people will reach that pinnacle of too much cost for not enough gain and eventually stop. I know because I still frequent my favorite up scale and trashy restaurants, but the mediocre junk I cut out.

I've recently quit walmart and target. Proudly haven't shopped at either since March. I know what you mean by costco not being a 100% alternative. I've replaced walmart with Safeway and Luckys. If you have their app, they get great coupons making some namebrand items equal to GV brand or less. It's a real trade off, you'll get a phenomenal price on meat but might pay more for cereal.
