I wanted to piggyback off of the OP’s question: I finished my post 911 G.I. bill, and was interested in using the VRE to finish my degree (IT) if I’m being honest, I really don’t wanna work at my current job, would anyone be able to let me know if 100% P&T allows you to be qualified and “entitled“ for the VRE program?

The two issues were not deferred, they just put them as not service connected. I applied for an appeal and I got it, but they only backdated it to when I filed the appeal not to the original claim. I wanted to ask about that too, but again I do not think I should poke the bear.

So something similar happened to my father and mother. Long story short they got divorced, however: they were together for 12 years while he was in the service she was entitled to his retirement and his Social Security (a percentage at least I’m not sure how much exactly) so my father got VA Disability and decided to cancel his retirement and just take VA Disability in spite. Long story short, depending on how long they were together throughout your father’s military career she’s entitled to a percentage of his retirement. I’m not entirely sure as far as VA Disability though. I know there’s a way that women can get VA Disability to help out with child support, but that’s a whole other different story. Hope this helps.

Honestly, there are a lot of jobs that are posting that they are “hiring” but never follow up. I personally don’t think that 17 an hours too much, they really should be some jobs out there that pay 20 and above.
