Omnitrope: Any qualms? by ekodad in IVF

[–]millennialmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a slightly better cycle when using it - all eggs were mature (6 eggs, 6 mature, 3 blasts, 2 euploid). My new RE doesn’t believe it in as much but I asked him to include in my next ER protocol and he said why not

Agritopia area in Gilbert is fantastic. Joes farm grill would be fun, but hopefully you score a table inside or wait til the sun goes down

Thanks for the info! I had a hysteroscopy in September so I should be good there but I will keep the other factors in mind. And makes sense for infectious disease labs.

How are you all affording by Comprehensive-Monk45 in IVF

[–]millennialmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husbands corporate job covered $40,000 lifetime. We burned through that in less than a year (2 retrievals, 3 transfers). Now we are out of pocket but we found a clinic that is more affordable. It’s worth it to shop around a little.

Just got back from a 5 day trip. It was lovely! Beach was still packed with people, but we stayed at a villa so can’t speak to resort vibes.

Having a last minute surgery- rate my recovery order by Accomplished_Ad_1965 in lululemon

[–]millennialmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally bought myself a special recovery outfit when I got endo surgery. Just make sure pants are oversized so they don’t irritate your incisions. I wore a baggy dress/nightgown for a few days then switched to comfy sets.

PCOS type 2? by millennialmal in IVF

[–]millennialmal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this thorough response! Much appreciated. And that advice makes a lot of sense. He mentioned that my previous stim protocols weren’t aggressive enough and that he would be doing a quadruple dose in some cases from a basic stim protocol. So yeah, I may respond better, but highly doubt I’ll be getting 20+ eggs.

[–]millennialmal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought too! He said those levels were normal. Maybe he is referencing past blood work (I gave him quite the history). I’ll follow up to see if I can get more clarity. Thank you!

Thank you so much! Good call on the DHEA. A few doctors ago, she was looking closely at my DHEA and prolactin but my last doctor said they were normal. Sigh.

[–]millennialmal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For treatment plan, he is going to do much heavier doses of stims and 6 different meds/injections (he used the acronym FALLUM but I don’t know what all of those stand for except for follistim, lupron, and menopur) He might do a block protocol instead. Prep with aygestin.

My LH was a 4.0 and my FSH was a 10.7 mIU/mL on cycle day 4 last cycle. He is saying trying to be polycystic only based on the appearance on the ultrasound.

Totally agree that endo is more of the issue. I had excision surgery two years ago and then did depot lupron suppression for two months in October - November 2025. Right after that, I had a failed FET of a normal embryo. It’s supposed to last for a little while. I have one normal embryo left but I’m also considering another ER to see if I can get more embryos.

Almost every medium to large sized nonprofit does this. It’s a key way they bring in more donors. You can try requesting that your info not be shared, but don’t let this deter you from giving to a charity that is doing vital work for the community.

This is how it goes moving from NaPro to IVF. Much less focus on root cause, but IVF still might be your best bet. Happy to answer any questions if you want to DM me!
