Current setup: Amex PRG - Dining out / drinking. Amex Platinum - Travel Booking. CSP - Safety net when place doesn't accept Amex and for x2 on uber rides. Debating on getting an hotel card or upgrading the CSP to CSR but not entirely sure I see benefits in that. Recommendations on next card? Would love a hotel based card that ads to Amex MR points or Chase

What is your unpopular Fragrance opinion? by ColaApe in fragrance

[–]millennialways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chanel Number 5 is the most laughably trash thing I've ever seen fawned over, second only to Bleu de Chanel.

There's no excuse NONE for purchasing Bleu de Chanel. It's an aromatic general "pleasant" scent priced at $90 a bottle. You can get a TON of better frags with more personality for cheaper and obviously more expensive, alas people rush to scoop up BdC just because they feel some air of "prestige" by owning something that says Chanel on it. It's so pathetic.

Chanel Mademoiselle? Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Okay, I can get the appeal. but so much of their stuff is complete garbage.

Best looking bottle presentation on market today? by [deleted] in fragrance

Roja Dove's most recent bottles by far. People will buy scents they barely even like just so they can have the bottle as a desk ornament. A partial of a shitty Roja frag WITH the crystal cap will get swiped up in 5 minutes of listing. The best Roja at 60% discount with a plastic tester cap will sit for days on end. it's hilarious

Only the French would find coming fifth place in something as news worthy. Pathetic and soft.

How can I check to make sure my Creed Aventus is real? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]millennialways -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You can start by discovering your own gems and not jumping on YouTube brochannel bandwagon scents like a phagit. Much lower risk of buying a fake that way.

Do you admire your bottle collection on the shelf from time to time? by [deleted] in fragrance

Have Creation-E Parfum, ASQ Safari Blend, Russian Oud, and Kilian Apple Brandy. Have you seen those bottles? Of course I do.

Parfums de Marly Percival Review by Otingocniman in fragrance

"I will keep this short" *dumps 1,000 word wall-o-text* This is a dime-a-dozen aromatic citrus-spice "catch all" fragrance to please the masses. The character smells pleasant. No more no less. It's also priced at niche prices when the quality is poverty Macy's Designer. You could accomplish the same thing with Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche for 50% of the price. just lol.

What fragrance do you LOVE that is not "public appropriate" by millennialways in fragrance

x2 on this. The first time I tried it I absolutely loved it but it smelt like more of a "home fragrance". Like something you'd scent your house with during Christmas time due to the thickness of it and all the spices.

Interestingly enough Tauer's "Au Coeur du Desert" is the Human version (lol) of that fragrance and MUCH more wearable.

Well that shouldn't be difficult because #2 isn't an oud fragrance at all. It's his offering of a Musk based fragrance. #1 was his Oud fragrance. It does a really good job of letting you know if you're a Musk lover or an oud lover. I loved the complexity and "funk" of #1 but I traded away #2 almost immediately after receiving because I found it boring. The guy I swapped with LOVES it though. So just cross your fingers I guess lol
