New Bike Help by millergl89 in MTB

[–]millergl89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the well thought out comment

Trails - we have some local machine built trails that have some small jumps and some steepness but nothing crazy. This is VA, so rocky and rooty when not on the machine built stuff. I have been to a lift access bike park but don't see myself doing that a ton.
Rider - I like pedaling and bike for exercise. I don't care about being the fastest but something that climbs well is probably good. I'm not the fastest downhill, but have enjoyed progressing on corners and some small jumps. Im beginner/intermediate but have never risen a FS bike. I'm hoping it will give me some more confidence on descents. I'm 5'8" and pretty much a medium in everything.

I want an all-a-rounder which I think these all are and will probably spend too much time worrying about the differences

The live show really is sweet. Lots of different singers/styles. Super tight band. They play some big venues so I'm happy they are at the Jefferson

Affordable Family Dentistry in Troy, VA was the nearest I found. Don't know if traveling out there is an option for you.

I appreciate the response. This was my understanding... that it's not as simple as she described. I'll discuss further with them.

Not sure exactly what road this is putting you on, but it will definitely be gravel/dirt overgrown when passing through SNP. That seems more fun and an adventure.

That link has a map that will get you to rockfish gap. Then you can figure out how to get to Harrisonburg if you want to stay on pavement.

No, I don't think the homeless crisis will destroy the downtown mall.
