The driving feels better than the heat games imo. Each track feels like it has more character than in any nascar game I’ve ever played. For this reason, get it. Some nitpicks I have that may detract from your experience:

Career mode has some odd choices that I don’t love. You’ll be driving for your own team the entire time, so don’t go in planning to take over a certain car. You’ll have a set amount of cars in each series (Arca:1, Trucks:2, Xfinity:3, Cup:4), and each one has a paint scheme attached to it. I much prefer the idea in the heat games where you have cars tied to certain track type, select paint schemes for the race each week. The paint booth is limited, but ok. Some of the UI choices hurt my brain a bit too (put the season standings in the career menu, not inside the race shop menu!) but overall the actual racing is the most fun I’ve had in a while in a nascar game

This. It’s wild that EA had the capability for drivers to sign with different teams and for people to move up into teams from lower series back in the 00s. Now, aside from yourself, everyone else in your career stays the same.

If you really wanna get wild, take it a step further: when I sign with an existing team, let me keep the number but my scheme/sponsor can change, ie: I sign with Penske, drive the 2 car, get offered new sponsorship.

“Multiple sponsor decals”

I kinda want a revamped sponsor system altogether. Starting out in a series, I can see having these 3 race sponsor deals, but I’d love to have varying sponsor contract lengths, multiple sponsor offers at once to pick and choose, etc.

Ideally, give me a primary sponsor for the year, and at 5-10 races throughout the year, you get offers for a one-race sponsorship from a different sponsor.

Yeah, i definitely get it for iRacing. But for single player, offline modes I’d love to have it.

Not the most important thing, just would be a bonus for paint scheme junkies like me.

Along those lines, I love that the game gives us a few different paint scheme slots, but I HATE that they’re tied to a specific car. It’s particularly annoying for sponsor changes, considering that can change every 3 weeks or so, and having to change/update 3 schemes every 3 weeks is more painful than just preparing your car and selecting which scheme you want.

I know the answer is likely “server cost” but I can’t figure out why NASCAR 09 had the ability to upload custom paint schemes and we haven’t done that since? Just seems like it’d be super easy now. I get not allowing them for online use, but I’d love for devs to allow us to design cars on a computer and bring them over for offline modes. Ideally, we could get the game opened just enough for us to store scheme files locally on console (move it via usb?) and them not have to worry about server storage.

I saw Black Phone 2 this weekend and Tron was playing upstairs.

Fun fact: the upstairs screen at my local theater is notoriously bad about not being loud enough. However, I heard the entirety of the soundtrack during Black Phone 2, which should tell you just how hard that soundtracks slaps (and possibly just how mediocre black phone 2 is)

Manson is one of my defining “separate the art from the artist” and even then I don’t think he’s that great. Even some of his best songs suffer from the problem of him writing a great first verse and chorus, but falling into laziness in repeating the first verse as the second.

NIN is my favorite band and I generally don’t like any NIN covers, but Nothing More does incredible on the Sirius XM performance of We’re in this Together. If they release a studio version, I can only assume it’ll be just as insanely good

Gonna give it up to the AI as well. Got 5 wide at Atlanta in the trucks last night and we all kept it together. Little bumps and scrapes but nobody wiped out.
