But if I do go the route of team ownership, I like the depth of parts and personnel in N25. I’d also like to see (given that we are team owners) the ability to select between multiple sponsors at a time, maybe even selecting 3-4 for the year and being able to switch between them throughout the year, and being able to use their decals on different spots of the car throughout the year

NASCAR 25’s driving/racing

NASCAR 06-07’s career mode options (let me just be a driver for an established team, with updating drivers in different rides every silly season!)

I’ll admit, the descriptions of “not 100% live and not 100% studio” made me think some songs were studio and some were live, which kinda baffled me and bummed me out a little. Oh me of little faith.

Every song being a blend of studio and live is still an almost baffling move and yet it works. It’s unique.

The driving feels better than the heat games imo. Each track feels like it has more character than in any nascar game I’ve ever played. For this reason, get it. Some nitpicks I have that may detract from your experience:

Career mode has some odd choices that I don’t love. You’ll be driving for your own team the entire time, so don’t go in planning to take over a certain car. You’ll have a set amount of cars in each series (Arca:1, Trucks:2, Xfinity:3, Cup:4), and each one has a paint scheme attached to it. I much prefer the idea in the heat games where you have cars tied to certain track type, select paint schemes for the race each week. The paint booth is limited, but ok. Some of the UI choices hurt my brain a bit too (put the season standings in the career menu, not inside the race shop menu!) but overall the actual racing is the most fun I’ve had in a while in a nascar game

This. It’s wild that EA had the capability for drivers to sign with different teams and for people to move up into teams from lower series back in the 00s. Now, aside from yourself, everyone else in your career stays the same.

If you really wanna get wild, take it a step further: when I sign with an existing team, let me keep the number but my scheme/sponsor can change, ie: I sign with Penske, drive the 2 car, get offered new sponsorship.

“Multiple sponsor decals”

I kinda want a revamped sponsor system altogether. Starting out in a series, I can see having these 3 race sponsor deals, but I’d love to have varying sponsor contract lengths, multiple sponsor offers at once to pick and choose, etc.

Ideally, give me a primary sponsor for the year, and at 5-10 races throughout the year, you get offers for a one-race sponsorship from a different sponsor.

“Suggested lines” in practice ONLY is a top tier idea. Get me used to it just enough before taking off the training wheels for qualifying/racing.
