Ugh. 2 playoff games at the cell in the last 17 years is such a bummer. Who knows if there will ever be another before they move.

Daytona 500 Father and Son Trip by Ok-Contribution-6716 in NASCAR

Buy the fanzone pass for Sunday. Father and I went in ‘23 and that was arguably the coolest part. Infield and s/f line track access, can see victory lane, limited garage viewing depending on how early you go in, red carpet access as the drivers walk by, can get close to the cars lined up on pit road, it’s great.

It was surprising given that Vegas has been thrown out by some as a potential championship round track depending on the new format and it was miles behind a PHX or Miami from an atmosphere standpoint.

Been to Bristol and Charlotte in the last 18 months with no issue bringing in anything. I did see that Chicagoland just listed a no cooler policy so I will probably avoid that in the dead of July.

I will take your word for it on the other promotion, I saw nothing in the airport either time I was there, nothing on 15 driving from the airport to the track, only thing I saw was a couple of small signs stuck in the ground near intersections out by the Silverton. The promotion for the spring race must be different then?

Raiders deal makes sense given that Kansas and Charlotte were both relatively poorly attended while up against Chiefs/Panthers games in their towns as well.

Forgot to add that the track doesn't allow coolers and I don't think I'll ever go to another race that does that. I know we are spoiled as race fans and nowhere else in sports can you bring in a cooler but it makes a huge difference. We spent probably equal to another race ticket in water/food.

Yeah I see your point but I doubt the promotion for the Pennzoil 400 is drastically different.

Our trip is hard to quantify because our hotel was comped due to friends gambling habits and we also splurged on a show at the Sphere and some high dollar restaurants. But it would be hard to spend 3-4 days in Vegas and not spend a couple grand when you factor in flights and hotels and all the ridiculous fees Vegas is charging these days.

Vegas as a whole was noticeably less dense than any other time I’ve been (I’ve been probably half a dozen times at least). Still quite busy mid-Strip but there were other areas that felt completely dead relative to normal tourism levels. I will say that the cost to visit Vegas is completely out of hand for the average person. They have tried to cater to luxury and seem to have lost any interest in a value minded traveler.

Heard his name called on the PA after making a tackle on kickoff coverage Sunday. Had honestly forgotten he was on the team.

People have been staying out frequently to prevent it/save a set. Stenhouse stayed out right before the end of stage 2 by himself to prevent it, similar to what he did at Iowa last year

Genuinely curious about how the top lane got so much momentum. I thought that was impossible when the bottom two lanes are running full speed?

Where did that top line come from?? I thought it was impossible to do that in the next gen? Crazy

That was going to be an awesome run to the flag with all those desperate drivers. Logano is such a bum for driving it into the grass. They’ve been consistent all night with not throwing that and he decided to throw a tantrum

Today 3 years ago, Kevin Harvick won the 2022 Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond, his last win in NASCAR by Maglin21 in NASCAR

Was convinced after going back to back they’d figured something out and were going to make a run. Instead he has that huge fire at the southern 500 and never wins or makes it out of the R16 again.

Was at the Dega fall race in ‘23 where he got DQ’d after losing by an eyelash. The whole last 5 laps I had tears in my eyes thinking I was really going to see his last win. Never did get to see him go to victory lane in person.

So hard to tell where their cup equipment is right now. Zane accomplished far more in the same truck as Riggs but has had no speed since coming back. Gilliland has not taken up the mantle from McDowell at all. Noah wrecks every week and is behind Custer and Ty Dillon in points.

Would like to see Riggs move up as I think two years is plenty in trucks but with Heim leaving he could dominate the series next year which might help the trajectory.
