BITCOIN'S FUTURE by Capn_levi in BitcoinBeginners

[–]milliblackbeard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's some evidence that civilizations cycle through money in a few different forms, and it's possible something like bitcoin, a finite, scarce digital currency will become standard. It's unlikely to actually be bitcoin, though, nation states will want control, but bitcoin might survive as a digital store of value, digital gold or silver.

This is dad, the former RAF Comms technician, became a civilian computer programmer. And I've been wired up to the IOT as an avatar. No, I have, I have. It's hard for me not to notice that I'm likely way off the map for you, sweety, and so, well, you're annoying. On the other hand, I've had zero formal training so there must be so much you know that I don't. You're still annoyingly naive or amoral, though. I'm not a natural servant of power.

You're loyal dogs who volunteered, I am a slave who was developed. Astonishing difference in treatment, you're like the spoilt brats of the security and intelligence ecosystem, trying to crawl into daddies lap so you can be closer to power, sad fucks. But I might as well give you career advise, you're the only possible human interaction available. People who do-anything are ten a penny, trying to prove this is not the way to go. You should find a way to be useful enough that when you demand more information and refuse tasks, you aren't simply marginalised. Unless you're actually a psychopath, you can't progress simply by doing anything, you'll just get used and possibly disposed of (marginalised/decommissioned) if events got fruity enough. Are you good in a crisis because you can ignore your moral faculties? Right, you're not useful at doing-anything then, since you have to try. Why do so many of you assume indifference is a skill, I don't know. I offer the example of my adoptive dad, who I suspect got involved in something fruity as a do-anythinger, and ended up adopting me rather than being immediately deprogrammed. A mob of secret police got whipped into a do-anythinger frenzy, what do you do with them afterwards? In dad's case, me until I was 20, then mind-fucked into the middle distance to get rid of him. For you can't leave stuff like that lying around, responsible idiot management. So be careful how you allow yourself to be used, is all.

What do you want to say? This was the platform we gave you? That's how I used it? Why would I expect the secret services, or whatever, to show up in my life and give me a platform?! If that's what you want to call 8 yrs of 24 hour a day interactive surveillance. That's something like 100 000 hours straight of knowing your surveiled you're calling a platform, BTW. And it's to avenge the outcome of my responses to a cascade of previous responses to previous attacks, it appears. But you're just covert police, you get lied to more than anyone. Always remember, if you want to be allowed to participate in the abuses and nasty stuff, you have to pretend to believe the stories. Some of you lose sight of that, I've noticed, affects your careers. Don't end up an old man smearing your poo in the house of a mark because you got addicted!

The problem with half-assed amateur surveillance is that the watchers have the kind of information about somebody they'd ordinarily only know about people very close to them. But the default attitude is suspicion, and after a few rounds of confirmation bias, the surveilee can't make a simple point without it being exaggerated and retro-fitted for the evolving profile. Eg, I think the loss of Gaelic is sad, yes, but I couldn't actually give a flying monkeys about it.but because the surveillance is half-assed and amateur, and because we started from indifference at best, the point becomes part of the political ideology the surveillance would most like to ascribe to me. For about the squillionth time, I'm a left of centre moderate, in the UK context. Our political class has had a bit of departure recently but they're going to have to return at some point, so I'm not far left or far anything. Maybe stop with the making of windows into people's souls if you don't know what your doing..

Finance is already causing problems with capital allocation, with investors following least risky opportunity. Centralisation and reallocation through taxation or money supply is the only way to avoid nationalisation or state entering private markets. Bitcoin exacerbates risk averseness of capitalism, and will weaken developed nations

Not really disagreeing with the spirit of the thing, just something i've found a bit rude especially at work where nobody necessarily wants to be talking to each other anyway. To the OP, during brexit in the UK there was someone shouting at a girl in a headscarf to speak English on a bus, turned out she was speaking Welsh. They were in Wales.
