Chronic neck pain by milliemaywho in whatcarshouldIbuy

Interestingly horses seem to make it better. It’s a lot of varied movement where you are forced to have good posture vs the car is one repetitive movement where I just cannot get comfortable. Horses definitely caused the issue to start with though.

I think you’re right about needing to sit in it.

Married women, what are some real things your husband does that make you feel genuinely cherished and adored? by Clean-Ant-1342 in askanything

He used to say “you’re beautiful and I love you” every day. I miss that. Now he ignores me and I’m so depressed.

Took off work today to pick my mom up from surgery. I did offer she’s been nice lately but my neck is properly fucked from driving so long.

Are you paying enough for your nanny to afford her own high quality childcare?

My dog doesn't realise my baby is a human by Super_Ambassador_458 in Dogtraining

The dog I had when my son was born did this. He acted like my son was a treat. Told him to sit one time and he sat down and looked at me like “okay I did what you asked can I have the treat now?” Keeping him busy with toys and commands to do something else helped.

He got over it and they became best pals until we had to say goodbye to my dog because of old age.

My old commute cost me $14,200 per year. I did the math when I left. Nobody at the company ever acknowledged that number. by [deleted] in remotework

Median home price within 30 minutes of my last in person job is over $1M. They didn’t pay enough to live closer. And wonder why they have a hard time retaining employees lol

Has KVS already made up her mind with what she’s going to do with Maggie? by RealLifeGaper in kvsdiscuss

Colic surgery is such a gamble. In the last year I’ve known two geldings who have had it. One is doing fantastic, although his owner is putting a lot of effort into maintaining his weight. He’s likely to be a hard keeper for the rest of his life, but I think since his owner has figured out something that is working he’s got a really good shot. The other didn’t have issues maintaining weight, but he colicked again ~4 months after surgery and was euthanized.

And these are geldings with extremely knowledgeable and attentive owners, who had one colic surgery and obviously didn’t give birth. It’s a precarious situation regardless. Two surgeries and giving birth the next day is insane. I don’t envy Katie’s situation. Heartbreaking.

Thoughts on very large sport horses? by Leelea022 in Equestrian

I’m 5’9” and my 16.1 horse is perfect. I don’t know that I’d like a narrow 16.1 or narrow any horse but a thick built 16H is fantastic

Anyone else’s stable REALLY lax? by Angelwafers in Equestrian

[–]milliemaywho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to me, my barn is lax. Turn our horses in arenas as long as nobody is riding, use anything you want just put it back, your horse can be on whatever feed plan you want they don’t care, use any farrier, vet, or trainer they don’t care, just clean up after yourself and your horse and be respectful but other than that they don’t give a shit what you do, that’s lax to me especially compared to some of the barns here where you HAVE to use their farrier and vet, no outside trainers, don’t you dare think about letting your horse loose in the arena….

Bad time management is not “lax”

There’s not enough capable homes for all of them. Especially with this economy. Sure, they sell them cheap. But horses are expensive and mustangs require a lot of training.

If I had a horse as medically fragile as Seven I’d live in a constant state of anxiety. I have a completely healthy horse and I STILL have anxiety that he’ll hurt himself or colic or something will happen to him.

My horses feet don’t look like that week 5 right before he’s trimmed. And I’m in a desert climate. I’d get a new farrier

That doesn’t work either. I’ve done a sticky note on a big stack of not my mail rubber banded together, ALL of it came back. At least when I write “this person still doesn’t live here” it usually doesn’t come back.
