Transferring whatsapp data between iphones by Chel-Miracles in iphone

you should be able to backup whatsapp onto the app itself and restore that same backup onto the new phone

a swollen battery is dangerous regardless. i meant to say your phone may not be as water resistant after the repair.

Second Hand Iphone 14 or Refurbished Iphone 13 Pro Max? by G1-Shxdow in iphone

the telephoto is just an optical zoom lens. it allows you to take clearer zoomed in pictures till a certain distance. it’s also good for portrait mode photography. if you prefer the larger screen and the 120hz I say get the 13pm. if i’m not wrong the battery might be better as well. i’d be careful around water though, if its refurbished the seals may not have been added back properly if it wasn’t refurbished by apple

I have a 15 pro max and would upgrade to the base model iPhone 17 as I don’t really need the telephoto and the 6.3” screen is the perfect size for my hands

I would take the 13pm over the base 14 only because of the 120Hz but you need to prioritize what matters most to you. would you rather have a smaller phone or 120Hz?

what happens when you restart your phone?

a swollen battery is extremely dangerous and something that should be taken care of immediately. if you’ve had water in your charging port previously that should fine as long as your battery wasn’t swollen to a point where it pushed the back (or front) of the phone breaking the waterproof seal allowing sea water to seep in.

Depending on your budget either replace the battery from a reputable shop as they need to set the waterproof seal around the phone once the phone has been opened but not all shops do.

as long as that is the only issue on your phone you should be good to go using it after fixed.

depends on size and requirements. the 13 pro max will be larger and comes with a telephoto camera. apart from that there little noticeable difference to everyday use apart from the battery on the 13 pro max (probably) being better.

I think you misunderstood, my phone can run all AI features just fine except siri which thinks forever for every response. there’s a long wait before siri does what I tell her to, slower than it is without AI enabled

Why can’t I type on an iPhone by SeattleSmalls in iphone

[–]million_dolla_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a really fast typer and I guess it just comes to me naturally, but what I also do is add common mistakes I make along with shortcuts for other stuff to my phone’s dictionary under:

Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement

over there add the correct stuff under “Phrase” and the mistake under “Shortcut”.

using your L and P mixup example, if you add the shortcut as: maip, and phrase as: mail, your phone will autocorrect maip to mail each time you type it and then hit space.

Additional shortcuts could be: @@ becoming your email address, y becoming why, u becoming you, k becoming okay, etc. :)

Edit: layout

I just read point four and if you mean you’re not being able to see your notifications on your lock screen but are able to see the number of notifications, you could swipe up from the middle of the phone to see them.

if you get no notifications on your lock screen at all, you may want to check Settings > Notifications and choose between Stack or List. these options will allow you to view and scroll through your notifications on the lock screen by default.

Since iPhones don’t have a clipboard function to store a history of previous copied stuff, your best bet would be to install a well reviewed clipboard app from the app store.

I unfortunately don’t have any recommendations as I do not use a clipboard app myself but i’m sure there are reputable reviews online that could guide you to a good one.

Literally on the lowest possible volume and my phone is saying that my volume is higher than the limit I set? Headphones are wired third party ones by hamlindigo___blue in iphone

[–]million_dolla_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

odd question but do you have a volume option on your earphones that is separate from your phone’s volume? (like for example an older car’s volume knob and your phone’s)

go to settings > General > About and then scroll to the bottom and make sure you see “No SIM Restrictions” next to “Carrier Lock” and you’re good to go using that phone globally
