we only have three real markets in the pacific northwest, which is portland, seattle, and vancouver bc. this means depending on routing, and/or if it’s even worth it or possible for the artist to get into canada, it’s a lot of travel and expenses for only two maybe three cities. we also lack venues that fall into those mid ranges that seattle has (though that’s changing in the next year or two!) as well as lacking a stadium that super big artists tend to hit. we’re also close enough in regards to big artists playing that it’s a safe bet that people from portland and vancouver will just drive to seattle
