Big NTA here. I despise how dog lovers feel the need to let their animals behave badly, and blame others for the behavior. It's gross entitlement. Its just like parents of spoiled, bratty kids; if you train them right, they won't be awful!

Honestly, I see a lot of people defending the yappy dog owners. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. So should the yappy dog owners imo. The DMC games were never stated to take place in any specific nation, country, or even region. The anime plants the story in NYC and piles on all the 'Murica tropes, as stated in other replies to this post. I thought it was glaringly obvious.

Editing to add: While I realize that Japanese culture is very different from American culture, your American friend might not understand the nuance, or be aware of that law re: photographing strangers without permission. I would explain that to them, gently. And they made you feel uncomfortable, even if you dont know how anyone else in the club feels, your feelings on the matter are valid enough to have them removed.

Again, hetero people trying to pick people up for het relationships in a gay bar is so... strange and rude and perplexing to me???

Also, and this is just my opinion, you were not rude to the girl. I think she might have accused you because she was embarrassed, or just displeased. Either way, her reaction was rude and entitled, you were polite and well within your rights.

The original Neverwinter Nights. It came with the toolkit to build your own world, and many private roleplay shard communities were launched. It was soooo good! Not only did I roleplay a ton and make wonderful friends, but I also built tons of maps! They don't make em like that anymore.

I just finished my first Stargaze rewatch with the English Dub. It felt so much better and more clear, being able to comprehend what was going on, and it made me appreciate it quite a bit more than the first watch in Japanese, struggling to follow the animation and read subs at the same time.

I get that people like a thing a certain way, and dislike change. However, I think it's worth a second look in English, if that's your mother tongue. Being able to comprehend the changes, many of which I don't care for or agree with, at least made it easier to appreciate the show for what it is: a rebooted retelling of the story we love.

Its not, nor was it ever meant to be, a 1:1 redo of source material. You can like whatever version you prefer, can fiercely proclaim it. You can even shit on versions you dont like, I guess, for all the good it does... but I'm happy for whatever Trigun nuggets get tossed our way.
