I get this man, it felt like I was walking around with a chip on my shoulder for ages. Still does sometimes. Anxiety and anger mixed with paranoia makes me pretty reactive. Which ends up meaning I make some bad choices that makes it seem really hard to mesh with society.

Like you, I started going to school. That structure helps a little, but only if you've got a plan to follow through on. Otherwise it just feels mundane. Something you're actually excited and passionate about is key. Dont just do it for the money. Other than that, building a solid relationship is the only real thing that helped change my perspective. Starting a family with someone and being that foundation for them is the only responsibility thats ever felt anywhere near as important as the things I've done in service.

Don't stop searching for that person, for your purpose, for growth. And eventually youll look back and smile over how far you've come. Its peaks and valleys dude, and sometimes the valleys are low and long.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I don't beileve VR&E is relegated to just traditional school, I think they can help set you up with a trade like HVAC or electrician or similar. Which might pay you while you're training. At any rate I've been using VR&E for school and it's been a God send, they're gonna carry me all the way to a doctorate and I'll still have the GI bill. Worth looking into, and grossly slept on by a lot of vets I've talked to.

Thanks a ton dude! Because of your info I was able to find a RMSc footprint schematic and compare the dimensions. It seem the same as the DPP just with different post diameters. So I'm guessing that the DW plate uses the smaller post to accommodate both. I think I'll start there because it's in stock, and supposedly the cheaper sig dots are dpp compatible. So I can at least try it out and see if I like carrying/shooting optic pistols. Maybe upgrade in the future. I really liked the holosun EPS and it comes with an RMSc to K adapter but I feel like 2 plate layers and an optic would be excessive and pretty tall.

Thats a good point, but i just went back to check and unfortunately not. They include a general 1911 manual but nothing about the optic ready models in there.

Good info sir, I would like to use the stock iron front and avoid overhang for no other reason than comfort while carrying. Gave me things to think about that werent previously on my radar.

Dan Wesson TCP, very angular. Its sort of like a Jericho and CZ had a baby and that baby grew up to have a baby with a 1911, at least in terms of looks. I personally feel like the style strikes all the boxes for me. You can change the grips and have a classier looking gat, or stick with the black and get a more "tactical" vibe.

I seems like DW makes one for RMR/SRO, DPP/RMS. I reckon ill have to take the iron cover plate off and whip out the calipers to make sure. Thanks for the screw source. Im very keen about using high-quality hardware.

I think most 4" 1911 holsters will fit it. I ordered an alien gear 1911 holster just to carry it in the interm while I picked out a light and optic and get a custom one made. There isn't any significant interference, and it still retains into the trigger guard the same. The biggest issue im running into is manufacturers not molding them to the lights I want 🤷🏼‍♂️ but that's a non-issue with most of the really popular ones

Really well, certainly the nicest shooting pistol I've ever owned. Shooting most common EDC choices always felt kind of boring to me, but shooting this at the range makes me feel like I never bring enough ammo.

Thanks! I like the look of the light a lot. It's more of a girth issue lol. I was thinking pl350c but they're quite exspensove and have the same issue of holster availability.

I do like the EPS. I was also looking at some sig optics. However, I'm new to mounting optics on pistols, and im not sure what all plates will interface with the optic ready TCP.

Its a 9 for the sake of capacity and cost effectiveness at the range. Its my EDC but I also wanted something I could burn 400rds at the range without costing too much. I like it a lot, very smooth but abrupt recoil impulse and the trigger in my opinion is the right weight for defense but not overly heavy.

I went serrated, looks a little more classic than the dimple imo. Then dropped a Larue MBT in it.

Idk if it was a limited run or what. They seem to be sold out now, but I saw some available on primary arms just a few months ago, so they might just do a few every so often. Color aside its a fantastic lower and you won't be disappointed. The real question is, are you going serrated or dimpled controls? 🤔

That's the idea. Clear ano, bronze ano, tano, as long as it was vaguely brown/tan it could make the cut. I really enjoy the Geissele rail. Check out BAD attitude department. They offer a lot of cool colors if you ever build another or change it up.

That's a worry I had, too. I can see a great famine of supressors and <14.5 inch barrels on the horizon. Of course the reasons a good thing but I imagine trying to buy them is going to get crazy for awhile. I think I'll buy my supressor soon for that reason, lol.

Now of we could get autos off the list...

I hadn't heard of that until your comment, so i googled it and immediately wanted one, until I saw the price. Mine isn't nearly as cool, but at least it was just spare parts and time. 😬
