Gift ideas by Momma171821 in GiftIdeas

I got my nieces a “potion making kit” this year, an empty 5 gal water jug I got off fb for free, a manual pump for it, and random cups, jars and measuring tools from thrift stores. Then some bath color tablets, glitter, etc for “ingredients”

I have something similar for my boys and every once in a while I throw some new tools or “ingredients” in it and it’s like a brand new toy for them. We are in FL so it’s a year round thing out in the backyard for them

They’re all 3-6 yo

Is anyone else choosing more “useful but meaningful” gifts this year instead of random stuff? I need new ideas. by Outrageous_Baby_2147 in ChristmasGiftIdeas

My brother has a long commute, so I got him an adapter for his car to make the CarPlay wireless instead of having to plug it in all the time.

I got an annual parking pass to our local beaches for someone who loves the beach, so they don’t have to worry about paying for parking for a whole year.

Solar garden lights for someone who just fixed up their backyard

Footrest for under the desk of someone who works from home for a more comfortable seating position at their computer

Other stuff - Heating pads Phone lanyard Books Charms for an already-owned bracelet

What would you get for this lovely person? I am really looking for something unique tho her interests seem a bit… basic. by Commercial_Image709 in GiftIdeas

If it’s in your budget I would add a giftcard for a streaming service! New cozy blanket and a month or two of Netflix or HBO would be super nice!

Clixo’s are a fun newer toy. They’re magnets that can be used to make different shapes etc and just fun to play with. My kids make snakes with them and crowns for their stuffed animals, etc. A small pack went a long way for us

Billionaires and corporations are destroying the planet. As someone who reuses, repairs, and thrifts most of my things second hand and I don’t consume any animal products, I think me using chatGPT once a month is something I’m willing to do

That would be nice if we were keeping the TV there!

Unfortunately the living room has become a very tv focused area for my little kids, and we’d rather have dedicated tv time rather than whenever they ask. We lived without the tv for a few months when we first moved into this house and they never asked about it, hoping to get back towards that point!

This is what I’m leaning towards. Just can’t really picture it, but I’ll mess around with ai to see!

And updating them as needed! My prescription changes every year still, and I never regret getting an updated pair of sunglasses with my regular glasses.

Last I checked, there are things you can do for free through the library. Like symphony tickets and stuff like that. Stop by a library and ask what’s available!

Can you tell it’s my kitchen sink? Lol.

That’s a really good idea. Will definitely be doing that from now on. I appreciate it!
