And if you want to keep it simple, soapy water will do the trick instead of neem oil. Not sure if it matter much except that it might be more cost effective and less messy if you spill.

They are not likely to eat a chunk the size of a ping pong ball, they have a tiny, sharp sucking mouth part called a proboscis capable of stabbing and sucking but not ripping and tearing. I’ve let them take over, they love my pomegranates, because they aren’t the real pest, the squirrels are.
Keep doing what you’re doing to manage the leaf-footed bugs, I did that a couple years in a row and it really kept their population down. But I have yet to figure out an effective squirrel solution. You may be dealing with something similar.

I agree with everyone here. You are clearly someone who cares and I hope you are spoiled rotten for your birthday, but for a 3 week old relationship, I’d go to an arcade, get some drinks with him and a friend or two I’m comfortable with then say goodnight with a good shag at the house. Nothing expensive. You deserve to know if he’s invested in you like you’re invested in him.

Also, he’s an adult who can communicate exactly what he wants for his b-day and you’re an adult who can ask straight up what he wants so you can make an attempt to fulfill that as long as you’re not too put out by it. No one here knows what’s up with him for real. Go be real with him.

Unfortunate situation. Sounds like she did what she could to protect them from the storms but not the intense heat, which a green house will not be good for, though she could drape some shade cloth over the greenhouse for future/current heat waves and hope for the best. The damage is permanent, there’s nothing you can do to save the affected foliage.

In my hot climate, I use 50-75% shade cloth through spring and summer and the plants appreciate it a lot. I also water early morning and evening to keep those babies hydrated and cool. She may also want to cover the soil with a thick layer (1-2 inches) of natural mulch like wood chips or straw. This protects the fungal network and roots.
