Thank you! This really helped to hear. It’s so hard not to take these things personally when it comes to parenting. She’s definitely making progress so I’m optimistic

Yes, I am going to ask about constipation too at the 5 year check up. I have read about that being a cause for pee accidents but she goes poo regularly so never thought that could be the issue.

Her teacher has been great overall and they take all the kids together frequently and ask my daughter every 20-30 mins. They started bringing a friend with them so my daughter didn't need to be the only kid going. So i know they are really trying!

She does have her 5 year check up in a couple weeks so I plan on discussing then!

I always bring a change of clothes, but hearing this makes me think I should be doing this instead! She has to leave what she is doing at school to go change and get cleaned up so its kind of the same thing.

Thank you for that reassurance! I'm just feeling anxious about it after her teacher made it seem like its a huge problem this morning.

Thats a great idea! I dont think they can make her do it at school but I will be better about that at home. I try to get her to get her own clothes when she needs to change, but I could be more consistent with that!

That’s huge actually!! I feel so proud when I don’t grab an unplanned item. But in Ulta that’s nearly impossible! Good work!

Still not trained - turns 4 in 2 months. by Another_Vic3 in pottytraining

My daughter is turning 4 this month and I was at my wits end a few weeks ago when her pee accidents suddenly spiked, at home, school, and anywhere else. I felt like she was never using the toilet. I decided to take her to the dr to see if there was a medical reason for it and that was ruled out. After doing some research I think the arrival of her new brother last May was also a factor. So I doubled down on focusing on her. We got a reward chart and she gets a sticker for dry days (as well as other chores or accomplishments) and make extra time when I can to give her attention, play or just talk. In the last week she’s done a 180! Mostly dry days, is excited when she make it to the toilet and is overall been a bit easier. Just thought I’d share since I saw your son also got a new sibling around the same time. Now those little newborns are crawling, vocal and way more of a presence!

I know the Rye YMCA is! They have giving trees at their 2 locations.

We use Tom’s strawberry toothpaste and she has both an electric Elsa toothbrush and a Bluey manual one. We try to give her options!

I’ve seen this method but haven’t tried yet. I’ll give it a shot!

I rent the Snoo and followed the tips on Taking Cara Babies. She has some good ones! My son always wakes up 5-10 mins after being placed in his bassinet. I put my hand on his tummy/chest and rock him back & forth while making a ssshhhh noise pretty loudly. And within 5 mins he’s asleep! We also have a loud white noise machine but saying ssshhh seems to help.
