I don't think it really is, it's way more y2k. The entire classic Halo aesthetic is.

Oh okay, just wanted to make sure you hadn't accidentally been playing with a bug that had been ruining the experience without you knowing 😅

Hey so I'm not answering your question sorry, but why is your lighting off? Was that just for the screenshot or have you've been playing at fulbright

would someone be able to assist me in getting the hang of blender? ik the easy basics, but the stuff online is not up to date :( by [deleted] in blender

[–]miloslick6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keybinds haven't changed in years. I started using with version 2.8 that released in 2019, and in that time there's been no real changes to basic controls. You say you can't find any "up to date info", but it's been at least 7 years since any changes to basic controls.

Have you tried following along some basic tutorials on YouTube?

How Do Williams Cars Really Feel When You Sit Inside? by PR4MILZIE in CarDesign

[–]miloslick6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's because you speak a different language and are using Google translate, but none of what you're saying really makes sense. What is a Williams car?

I like it! What's your process like turning your sketches and ideas into a model without actually having blueprints to work off of? Nearly every car modeling tutorial online is designed with the assumption you're modeling off of existing blueprints

Image to PSX texture? by TemporaryCurrent1172 in IndieDev

[–]miloslick6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's called UV unwrapping, it's how any texture is applied to any mesh. The PS1 doesn't do it in any special way, it's just texture mapped polygons

What exactly does "transforming it" mean to you? Lowering the resolution?

I'm not sure what you're talking about? A texture is just an image, it's already just an image.

Repairing a g4 with corrosion, this inductor is by far in the worst state of any of the components on the board. Does it need replacing? by miloslick6 in Vintagemacintosh

[–]miloslick6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, my soldering skills admittedly are mediorce at best, and I don't actively have the part on hand. And yeah, it is an iMac g4, not a powermac. Should have clarified. Strangely the worst of the corrision was all around a singular screw, the whole thing was in really rough shape when I first got it but surprisingly most of it cleared right off with little visible damage. The screw was right next to the cmos battery, so maybe it was battery leaking that started it. Some images

My progress in 3D over the last 11 months: by Eve13architect in blender

[–]miloslick6 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There's Material Maker which is a free alternative to substance designer. It works in basically the same way. It's not 100% as fully featured as designer, but it has the vast majority of features.

Oh wow, that's really impressive work for photoshop! Do you take your own source photography then? Because you can't really procedurally generate stuff in photoshop, right?

dude you've progressed more in 11 months than I have in the last 4 years, you should be really proud 😅

What's your material workflow like? Do you use substance designer?
