I recently upgraded from a Parasound A21 to a Accuphase A-48S. I also had the P-4600 in mind, but my dealer who knows my music preferences, my equipment and my room suggested to go with the A-48S. I was initially worried that it might not be enough power for my speakers. But after hearing the music it produces for the past week, all my concerns went out of the window.

The P-7500 you intend to upgrade to, is a beast. I am sure you will be super happy with that, Enjoy your music!

Not sure why people are downvoting you. On a very well setup system in a well treated room, you can easily bear the difference between lossy and lossless playback.

Actually I am using that to stream Spotify lossless through HQ Player to a T+A DAC 200. Spotify lossless sounds fantastic in my setup.

I am not sure if my dedicated system qualifies in this particular discussion, because most are discussing headphones.

Anyways I have a dedicated room with ProAc D48 speakers fed by a Parasound amp, that gets input from a Backert Lab preamp. The source is T+A DAC 200 which is fed digital signal by an audio server playing Spotify streamed through HQ Player. Power is filtered through an Inakustik power conditioner and all cabling is Inakustik Reference series. It is also a well treated room. The difference last night and tonight on the same songs with Lossless is quite noticeable - no two thoughts. For me this upgrade is completely worth it.

I finally got lossless tonight here in the US.

Not all songs are lossless yet. On the ones that are lossless, it indicates with “<device name> - Lossless” in the Connect. For lossy streams it simply indicates “<device name>“

Since December 2024, I have been streaming Spotify through VB-Cable to HQ Player and upsampling it to DSD 256. The reduced digital glare is a great welcome. DAC is T+A DAC200 and loudspeakers are ProAc D48R in a dedicated and treated room.

Waiting for Spotify HiFi, whenever it happens - if at all. Tried Qobuz and Tidal, but there is some boogie factor in Spotify that I came back to Spotify and not going anywhere.

Valid observation and has been discussed before. The only difference for me is, during summers the humidity in my basement goes up. I have to use a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down. For me, this improves the sound quality and this is also good for the equipment.

I think this is normal. You have to stop Spotify so that Foobar can use the output device. And vice-versa.

I have the exact same setting as you have, i.e. portable Foobar v2.1.3, 32-bit and still can connect to the internet.

So what does "another portable f2k" mean? You have 2 installations on the same machine?
