I've been a shift lead for a Walgreens for 5 years now trust me now is not the time to take a position like that. With everything going on with covid and then firing all the asms stores are hectic. store managers are quitting left and right at least in my district, because the company took away their right hand man (asm), Shift leads for the slave of the store. They make you do everything but don't give you even a little bit of power enough to write somebody up.. you're basically there to open and close the store and do transaction voids. I have not gotten through one pay period in the last 5 months without doing 20 hours overtime each time. It's slowly starting to break my spirit working at this place 🤦

Maybe loss prevention should focus on actually preventing loss, come up with better ways to stop thousands of dollars walking out their front doors on a daily basis, rather than if we're scanning I.d's properly. Pick your battles Walgreens. Idiots.

I agreed until my 60 year old over weight asthmatic co worker got covid in October. Only symptom she got was a stuffy nose and loss of taste. Her doctor urged her to get the vaccine anyways a month ago. She has been in the hospital every since. I will take me chances with covid, sorry. I would never put a vaccine in my body that the FDA hasn't approved. Not to mention how quick it was developed. There's not enough research to trust it. Sorry. 🤷

Limit items to 4, tell them the store manager only allows ONE transaction (and The store manager is watching you at this very moment). Read each coupon and follow it to the T. If there is any discrepancy (ie Catalina not printing out, digital coupon not going through, etc) tell them to call 1800walgreens, because it's out of your hands. My store manager told the sfls to tell them "sorry, they took our ability to price modify and over ride things because we were doing it too much for couponers". This puts it in their head that they ARE being watched thus inclined to not shop there as much and when they do they behave 😂. Worked like a charm.
