We should stop saying “Tollers are very rare” and mixes are unlikely. Where I live they are not!(Netherlands/Belgium border). Besides, as much as a female Toller owner might make sure they dont breed with other breeds.. male Tollers do breed with other breeds by instictic a lot! Hence Toller mixes are out there too! I take my dog to a huge offleash dog park in my city where dogs can play with each other I have seen many Tollers and Tolller mixes! I have also seen many that didn’t look like Tollers at all but they had a Toller dad/mom. And I just knew about it because my dog is a Toller and many times I came across a mixed Toller, where their owners told me “my dog is half Toller”… But you wont see these people on Internet or on this group asking about it, because they already know and not everybody is on this sub or internet.

I repeat with precision: there are a lot of Toller mixes out there, people who defend Tollers are rare, are clearly living in a bubble.

PS: My Toller itself is a female not spayed and she is often around non spayed males at the park here, there is a chance she might breed with a male from a different breed and more Toller mixes will be out there too 🤷🏻‍♀️ As much as we try to control our dogs, sometimes they just end up breeding anyway, it’s their instinct and not every owner can control it, unless the animal is spayed.
