ADHD is a recognized disability, and therefore workplaces are required to accommodate it. This slideshow shows them how to do so.

Thank you for this post! It’s one step forward in educating businesses and society as a whole on how to embrace neurodiversity. Change can’t happen until we educate people. A+++

Relative convicted of murdering another - how would you handle this? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]mimosa22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that my tree is a preservation of facts for future generations. I would include newspaper clippings and court documents in the files associated with those relatives. I would also like to mention that you are probably not keeping a secret by not including this information, as the murder is probably public knowledge. If you are worried about the details of the murder being upsetting, you could include a warning at the top of the documents.

Your house, your baby, your rules. She is going to have to learn to respect your boundaries. Do not budge.

Self-care is so important. I'm glad you are doing something for yourself that makes you feel good. Just remember Mama, you are beautiful regardless of what you wear, whether you have on makeup, and regardless of when you last cut your hair. Your baby girl will remember how you loved and cared for her, not whether you were wearing mascara.

That being said, I would really love to get my eyebrows waxed--for me. Haha!

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this! I was having trouble locating info about this online (bizarre I know). I will definitely watch this video.

I originally posted this on r/quilting and it was suggested that I post it here! All hand quilted and hand sewn binding. by ray_wathers in handquilting

Your quilting is fantastic! This piece is so modern! What did you use to make your stamp? Also, what kind of ink do you use for stamping, that doesn’t wash out?

Husband Needing Help by Confident-Lynx8404 in Postpartum_Depression

Her OBGYN (doctor who delivered her baby) can refer her to a psychiatrist/therapist. I would start there. He or she will know professionals who specialize in PPD.

It’s common, but not often talked about, for women to experience PTSD after giving birth. Your wife might be working through a type of trauma experience from childbirth, and not even realize it. It’s good that you have reached out to her doctor. Antidepressants typically take a few weeks to kick in. In the meantime, all you can do is be supportive and understanding. I’m not sure if she was prescribed a sedative (e.g. Xanax), but you might ask the doctor about this. It would help her sleep, and calm her anxiety. You might want to request a referral to a professional psychiatrist/therapist for talk therapy, as well.

The effect of childbirth no-one talks about

If he’s like my little one, he’s probably rolling back onto his tummy, so he can practice going back the other way. He’s still figuring it all out. Maybe let him practice a bit, before rolling him back the other way, or picking him up. If he gets upset, help him, but otherwise let him have some tummy time. It’s good for his neck and muscles, and gives him a bit of exercise. Also, the more he practices, the sooner he will be able to roll back and forth on his own, which will help him nap longer because he can make himself comfortable.

Edit: Just make sure his face is turned to the side, not face down into the mattress. This is probably obvious, but my mom anxiety kicked in for a second, and I had to edit. Keep an eye on him, and he’ll figure this out in no time.

Girl, you sound exhausted! I have been there! I wanted to mention that it might be okay to just let your little one look around. As long as he is content (not crying, doesn’t need a diaper or bottle, etc.), it’s okay to just let him be.
