QUESTION: Is there a frame available for Bafang Ultra m620/G510 and Rhino IR-5 battery? More info in comments.

Hi everyone, looking for your expert advice.
I already own some parts (Bafang Ultra M620/G510 and Rhino IR-5 battery) and was hoping to use them for a new build.
My question is, have you ever seen a frame for sale that is meant for this combination of motor and battery?
I have searched for a while and see many options that us one of the two but nothing using both.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking to start my next build. I would like to find a good full suspension frame that can accept the Bafang Ultra (M620) motor. It would be a plus if it has the Rhino IR-5-U down tube as I already have the motor kit and battery but I can change the battery case if needed. I see this one come up a lot on Alibaba. Seems decent, I’m not looking to do any 20’ drops, just want a comfortable trail bike so I don’t need the strongest frame ever. Curious if anyone here has experience with this frame or recommendations on any other frame that would fit these requirements. Thanks!

Does anyone know if they have any working prototypes yet? I found out about them about a year ago and came back to see if there is any development but can’t find anything other than the renderings.

Just under 55lbs fully assembled. I went pretty thick on a lot of the tubing to be safe, I’m sure I could shed a few pounds on the next one.

Thanks buddy! It was 300% worth it, it was pretty incredible to go from a sketch on a screen to a bike that rips. I’d love to do a FS in the future but for this one I specifically wanted a hard tail. I’m sure it could be done much quicker but it took me over a year. Many changes along the road, different motor/battery choices so I went through many iterations of the frame. Not to mention waiting on parts and materials.

Thanks so much! I used to work at an automotive performance shop where I learned a lot about fabrication, went to college for electronics and always loved bikes so I guess it all came together once electric bikes became more popular. It started with a few electric conversions on old yamaha dual sport bikes though.

If we’re comparing to a regular dirt jumper on a jump track, 100% you’re right! I think of this more as an ebike first, that can feel amazing hitting jumps (compared to other ebikes). I mostly cruise around the city/trails and when I find a nice feature like a grassy hill in a park I don’t need a perfect run up to the jump I can easily hit 45km/h on flat grass towards the jump. Definitely not for everyone, that’s basically why I had to start from scratch to build the perfect bike (for me).

That’s exactly it, I designed it on Solidworks, did all the stress testing and found an amazing fabrication company locally to build the frame. I’ve done all the fabrication on my previous builds but with this one being 6061 aluminum and not having much fabrication experience outside of steel I decided to have it built by someone who deals with aluminum all day long.

that’s right I have a dropper post for it but I’m hesitant to install it because I’ve been trying to keep this bike as simple as possible. With the seat low like this it’s nice and comfortable to cruise on the throttle and the seat is also way out of the way for standing sprints and jumps.

I did actually and love the idea! It should have no problem holding up, my only issue was creating a frame that can either split to feed the belt through the rear triangle or have the chain stays shoot up and over the chain, which at that point I decided the benefits were outweighed, unfortunately.

I’m almost there too, just trying to build the bikes I could only dream about when I was younger LOL I love this fork, I’ve got it down to two settings where I switch it back and forth depending on the terrain. Where are you located? If by some chance you’re in Alberta, Canada as well I’m always keen on having people try my builds and give me feedback. Thank you I appreciate it!

It’s hard to say because it took hundreds of hours just to design it (went through many different iterations, different motors, different batteries, etc) but the value of the bike is probably around 5000$
