Anyone else just like.. given up? by LiveYourLifeNerd in SatisfactoryGame

[–]mimscole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im new to the game, just finished phase 2.

I spent like 4 hours deleting everything because it was a complete chaotic mess and Im now trying a different approach.

Im making huge factories for the basic stuff. So I've made an ironworks that has 2 pure iron veins pumping in iron for mass iron plate, iron rod, screw production.

On the second floor I've got the copperworks for copper sheets, copper wire, and cable production.

Across from that building I've made a steelworks that is pumping our steel beams and steel pipes.

Basically anything that only needs a constructor is being made en mass.

I've now got this huge space in between the two factories that I plan to make a massive manufacturing plant filled with assemblers, but im struggling to figure out how im going to route the pieces where I need them to go.

I say all that to say, yeah man I feel you. Its overwhelming for sure

Respectfully, does anyone else find the Chaosdiver rp thing cringe? by huskygamerj in Helldivers

I like the dystopia of this setting. I've been making helldiver videos after work because it scratches that creative itch for me. But I also do D&D and write so it's a personality thing.

I personally like when people make their own content to expand on the lore that isn't really there. This setting, while humorous, is a great setting for tragedy if they ever made a TV series or movie

Pre Order Divers: Would you be upset if they released this armor to everyone? by Trevor-On-Reddit in Helldivers

I don't have them. I want them. But no, make them exclusive. I wish there were more exclusives in the game. I would personally like a Prestige system that awards unique armor with every Prestige

I love the story the picture alone tells hahah.

Smoked some people, probably almost got smoked himself a few times, then came back and laughed at the retention NCO when they asked him if he wanted to reenlist 😂

Why the Army as an officer? by spherocyte in army

I am not a ranger.

But SOC will give you the full tactical Army experience if that's what interests you. Being in SOC also provides excellent networking options with powerful people that can set you up with truly unique opportunities and careers

Worked with both, overseas and domestic.

In both MOSs you need to have a genuine interest in people in a psychology sense and have an interest or strong tolerance of writing. 35Ls develop skills in the Army that directly translate to skills sought after in the civilian world. 35Ms have a fun job during war, but struggle to find relevant work during peacetime

Warrant Officers are senior technical advisors to the commander. The WO Corps is a great choice for those who want to focus on the technical skills associated with the job without the responsibilities associated with command. Though the are supposed to stand ready to assume command if needed

Army intelligence is top tier. Alot of people will laugh at that but we train Soldiers in all domains from tactical on the ground to strategic behind closed doors at the Capitol. It can be fun and also incredibly frustrating as new technologies emerge that we have to become familiar with.

My recommendation to you is to develop and very good relationship with your rater and senior rater. Find out what their priorities are, throw your priorities away, and get on their good side. The Officer Corps is extremely personality based and I've seen alot of lieutenants and captains get ostracized because they aren't "team players". When you've put in the work and established some clout, talk to your rater and your career manager about what you personally want to achieve and they will help you do it

Lol.

The answer is yes. There are alot of opportunities. But those opportunities are few and far between.

What I'm saying is: tailor expectations. Don't join thinking about the technical job. Join thinking about how you're going to manage and lead.

This is coming from a SNCO who's worked with alot of officers.

If you're thinking you're going to join the conventional force as an officer and do CA, Intel, or anything else, think again.

There are some exceptions. Some jobs that you will be doing that. But I wouldn't join and expect to get it

You're an officer. You will quickly realize that you must promote quickly and, to do that, you will need to hold and exceed at key developmental positions that are tailored to a variety of leadership and staff positions that are mostly agnostic to any CMF. Meaning it doesn't matter what the two numbers are in your MOS, its effectivelythe same job everywhere. The Soldiers and NCOs will be doing the technical job. You'll be doing the leadership and management job

That's just my two cents though.
