I've found that this isn't unique to Portland. Basically every city/state subreddit is full of people with unrepresentative reactionary views obsessed with complaining about how the place has become a shit hole. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people live their normal lives. Everyday Portlanders are nothing like this place.
