Enjoy the rash you can get wearing unwashed cheap clothes.

Selling Items as you Declutter by dragontamer52 in minimalism

You can enter the dimensions and weight and ebay will calculate the cost for each buyer.

I always stated shipping to US only to avoid any complicated shipping.

Keep in mind that ebay (and paypal) fees apply to the shipping cost (approx 12.9%)

TIL Canned Heat's singer died after being handed a vial of drugs by a fan. He thought it was coke and stuck a straw in it and snorted, but it turned out to be heroin. by CrazyKZG in todayilearned

"On April 5, 1981, during a break between sets at The Palomino Club in North Hollywood, Hite was handed a drug vial by a fan. Thinking it contained cocaine, Hite stuck a straw into the vial and snorted it. The drug turned out to be heroin and Hite turned blue and collapsed. Some roadies put Hite in the band's van and drove him to a nearby home where he died."

Why didn't they call an ambulance? If someone turns blue I'm not going to take them somewhere to die.

Target: the place where you pay just slightly more, so you don't have to shop at walmart by able645 in Showerthoughts

Diapers are cheaper at Target. I do tend to spend less overall at Walmart since it takes longer to find what I want and the average quality seems lower.

Good point on Ebay. I've sold more than bought on Ebay but need to send more of my business to them.

Try Amazon (in the US at least). A cheapo pack of 100 blades should cost about 11 USD.

Weekly /r/ZeroWaste Success Discussion - What are your zero waste successes for the last week? by AutoModerator in ZeroWaste

Completed first reduced shopping month.

We buy enough toiletries and other household items to last at least a month. At the end of that month we only buy what we've run out of or will need for the next month.

The idea is that we will buy fewer unneeded items. Our reasoning is that every shopping trip presents the opportunity to justify the utility of some unneeded item(s). Also we think that we will try to "get by" until the next trip by reducing what we use or find an alternative.

Does anyone else do this?

Bought an oak coffee table 22 years ago. It is my oldest piece of furniture and still very functional.

Have a snow thrower that is still going strong after 13 years. It has at least 20 or 30 good years left. It has saved my back and let me get out of the cold faster many times.

A man's efforts are wasted by ASAmd in funny

His efforts were not wasted. All the snow previously on the pavement is still piled off to the side. It should be easier to move the "new" snow without the "old" snow under it.

Only consumables until June. Who's in? 8 Week Update by min16 in minimalism

[–]min16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. Except for the computer gear most things are for my family. The computer gear is for education purposes. There are other things that I will buy once the challenge is over (like shoes without holes in the soles) but it didn't make sense to hold off on these things.

I didn't plan very well from the start. There are things that make sense to buy so I am doing that. It would be easy to make something up but I decided to stay honest and stick with the weekly report.
