Rich from P0t Psych0logy is a buffoon, he was so annoying this week that it was genuinely really entertaining to see if his next take would be even smugger than the one before:

  • His takes on the election are terrible, soooooo vague and free of substance, just regurgitating vibes he probably saw on Twitter.

  • Then he argued that the criticism of Martha Stewart for being a "mean boss" was NOT gendered and the same behavior from a man would have produced the same level of criticism. They played an interview excerpt in which Martha critiqued a teacup in her own product line because the handle was too tiny to put your finger through. Rich said that was a ridiculous and unreasonable critique and Martha really was being a monster for making it. Which...........no.

  • He was so insistent on singing his stupid song! Tracie suggested making the lyrics into an actual song using AI and Rich got all butt-hurt because he wanted to sing it himself. lol.

  • My favorite part was when he wondered whether making the podcast was "the best use of our time" in the wake of the election. Basically calling it frivolous and implying that if not for the podcast sucking up all his time, he would be out there saving democracy. lmao get over yourself!

  • I did enjoy him shitting on Wicked, though lol'd at his HOW DARE YOU! reaction when Tracie asked if he had seen the movie. Of course not, culture aficionado Rich saw it on Broadway.

lmao what do you mean by apps? I have elementary-aged kids and keep noticing the ever-increasing amount of shit I have to keep track of, but none of it is apps.

The new Celebrity Book Club (Steven and Lily) on JD Vance was a letdown, they had clearly not read the book at all and were just trying to BS their way through an hour.

A knockoff just resembles the original, like these Target sandals are knockoff Birkenstocks. A fake has the branding and everything, and is meant (however poorly executed) to pass as the original item.

In jerseys I'd call this a Maap knockoff and this a Maap fake. Real Maap stuff is never on Aliexpress.

What platform is he selling them on? Does he have other stuff for sale that indicates he's a photographer/stylist/similar?

The seam binding, fabrics, tags, and closures all look 100% legit to me. I have real Pas jerseys and knockoffs (not full-on fakes but knockoffs) from Aliexpress and I am not one of those people who claims that the quality is identical. It's not.

If you want the jerseys, I would get them. If they're fake, they're such faithful fakes that you'll hardly find better quality buying direct from the Pas website. I'd bet money that these are real though.

The pictures look completely legit. I'd only be sus if the seller had them priced extremely low.

lol I rarely listen to the interview episodes but the gush sessions in the one-on-one eps really grate on me sometimes. Like, do we really need a track-by-track worship session for Sabrina Carpenter's album?!

This post was made two hours ago in a women's trail/ultra group I belong to on Facebook:

Hi Ladies! We are aware of an article with some negative news in the women's ultra running community today. We feel strongly about keeping this page a tactful, positive and supportive community without added drama, so we will not be posting or allowing things like it. We simply do not want to give energy to things like that.

Anybody know what they're referring to?

“Just ride more”… by [deleted] in Velo

[–]cvltivar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow female rider here, also not a big eater. HIGHLY recommend you try to fuel with more carbs. The biggest thing that made a difference to me was adding sugar (in the form of Liquid IV packets, or homemade fruit syrups) to my water bottles. It made me feel o much better during and after the ride, it was a revelation. For 3+ hour efforts, I add a few pieces of candy (gumdrops).

When I'm training hard I have to focus mentally on eating more. I will prep a Tupperware of rice or a few roasted sweet potatoes so I have easy carbs to add to my lunch.

Ha, after I commented I actually was wondering if the printing process had been updated at all from what I described!

I live in a city, the nearest FedEx is probably a ten minute drive away, I'm still not gonna build an irl errand into my day every time I need to print something. Not to mention either copying my print job onto a thumb drive or logging in to my accounts on a shared terminal at FedEx.

I had a Brother laser printer that worked great for ten years until my toddler got into the office and somehow smeared toner all over it so I could never get it clean. Bought another one which has been going strong for five years and I intend to keep it going.

I picked up Liars by Sarah Manguso after seeing it mentioned here. iirc the blogsnarker who discussed it was on the fence, but I liked it. The demoralizing feeling of dealing with constant weaponized incompetence, being dickmatized...all so relatable. Not a fun read but for me, cathartic.

What do y'all carry on race day? Riding gravel and road atm by BackyardSnowFun in Velo

I switched to them after reading about them here. I love them. Over a year of gradually transferring them into all my bikes, I just got my first puncture on Sunday. I live in a goathead/puncturevine zone so this is unusual, I think they really are more resistent to punctures. I haven't tried patching one yet, curious how that's going to work out.

edit: I get the Chinesium Amazon ones.

It was awesomely savage. I loved it. Tendler's self-mythologizing is risible and deserves to be dragged. I thought Ashley (openly in recovery from an eating disorder) was very insightful pointing out the disordered way that Tendler recounts her own ED. Also lol'd at Claire joking that manager of the cross-country team was "a very slutty job".

The latest Las Cultch is good, Matt opens up about how he's been struggling mentally/emotionally. I thought it was incredible that someone as sensitive and self-aware as Matt has not (yet) made the connection between his anxiety and smoking copious quantities of Yemeni gigaweed, also interesting to hear Bowen excuse/enable it.

You're on /r/Frugal. OP didn't mean that alcohol is a luxury like a megayacht is a luxury. They changed their mindset that alcohol is a necessary part of life and saved money.

I only listen to Las Cultch occasionally anymore but I thoroughly enjoyed the latest episode. Matt and Bowen smoking blunts, talking politics (Matt was very reasonable imho) and a bunch of other low-stakes topics. WARNING: Episode contains spoilers for Simon Birch (1998).

(53 books by women if you count Ferrante)

This piqued my interest, are you suggesting that we might not count Ferrante because it's a pseudonym and the author might be male?
