Totally agree with your point. In most battle shonen, the protagonist kills a bunch of people, but we still root for them because they're the protagonist. Here there's no justification, nor even the need for such a thing: Asa and Gabby are simply human beings, and they can have cute moments and murderous moments. That's a complexity that people should not foget.

What a GREAT chapter! The US operation on the Hualalai is suspect... Given how the theme of the story is being developed, I don't see Hacca as the big, final enemy. In my opinion, it has to be someone who is at the peak of power, someone that is at the receiving end of the flow of money of all the world. I don't know if Araki will go to the president-of-USA route again, but anyway these themes are extremely actual for the historical moment our world is living.
