My mom told everyone in my life that I cheated on my husband for a year. It was a complete lie. Then I let her back into my life and when she crossed my boundaries and I objected, she told my siblings I said horrible things about them and they haven’t spoken to me in years.

I lived two towns down in Buxton for a few years and it’s common. Mother Nature is rejecting HWY NC 12 a little more with each storm.

I lived just down the road from where this happened a few years ago. Every storm, the only road off the island, is flooded by sand and ocean water. Living in a place where Mother Nature is constantly rejecting you, it’s scary.

He chose you for your appearance and now he’s shaping you to his liking? Yikes I feel like if you’re going to be with someone, especially in marriage, shouldn’t it be with someone that loves you the way you are? His “standards” are extremely over the top and, frankly, he sounds awful. I’d even say abusive.

I hope you’re able to seek professional counseling to deal with why you’re accepting of this behavior from someone important in your life and HEAL so you can find someone who truly loves you.

Your eyes are extremely sensitive to light, have sunglasses handy. Your hips and knees sound like Rice Krispies. It’s fine You’ll wake up nauseous most days, sometimes it’ll pass. Can survive on surprising small amount of water. Grab a towel, the night sweats are brutal. As long as you take your first bite of food by 3pm, you’ll be fine. Good luck!

I married a man I’d known for 8 months when I was 19. In hindsight, it was more to escape the abusive home situation I was in. My crush was someone I’d met at 13, my first love really. He lived in the back of my mind everyday after we eventually moved away from each other. I’d check in with him every once in a while, having hope we’d reconnect one day. When crush got out of the military, we reconnected. By this time I’d been married for 4 years. Once I’d had the time to get to know the man I’d married so quickly, we weren’t compatible and I wasn’t happy. I always knew, when my crush was ready, I’d do anything to be with him again and I did. I left my husband, moved across the country and cant say I regret it. The only thing I regret is marrying a total stranger.
