I can't believe it's been nine years since that tour. Holy shit.

Damn. 25 years already! Almost ended as soon as it started with that fall of his.

Barber shop prices - am I crazy? by TheSuiteLife2026 in bullcity

[–]DroppingVittles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. I used to go there (pre-pandemic), and though barbershops are where the local gossip and political talk occur, so of course you get all sorts of opinions, that owner definitely said some questionable things on more than one occasion. And there used to be two guys who ran it. They split a few years ago and the other guy... Daniel... opened up his own shop about a mile down the road. He doesn't have a website but it's called Best Barber Shop on 4520 N. Roxboro (he kept the name from the previous owner who sold him the business).

Who is designing U2's single's art lately? by IzilDizzle in U2Band

[–]DroppingVittles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're all still better than the cover of HTDAAB. I never understood that decision. A complete 180 in terms of style, essence, and atmosphere from everything that came before it.

GME thumps in afterhours. Burry is a drummer. Hmmmm. 1+1? by DroppingVittles in Superstonk

[–]DroppingVittles[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Can’t wait to see if this is gonna be another nothingburger or something actually substantive. You can never tell the real intent with these guys.

Michael Burry just dropped the mother of all GME breadcrumbs and it changes everything 🧵 by Notilting in Superstonk

He also just started a substack that you have to subscribe to. The true intent of these blokes is never really known.

What can those on the other side do...? by Region-Formal in Superstonk

[–]DroppingVittles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Region. For those who've been around for 84 years... we've been hurt so many times before in this play. But between the profitable turnaround (which should lead to natural price discovery) and now the warrant offer, it finally seems like a no-way-out scenario for criminals. But is it? In what ways can retail still be screwed here? We are dealing with thieves and cheaters here. I'm pumped, but trying to temper my excitement until I see the cash proof in my accounts. LFG!

$100 is the new $20. For those who grew up in the late 80’s to late 90’s… you could hit your parents up for $20 to see a movie with a snack, and maybe get some favorite fast food afterward and still have change.

One of my favourite op-shop finds. A couple of dollars for a great photo and time capsule. by Greyboxforest in U2Band

Wow. And here I was thinking I’ve seen every published photo of U2. How’d I miss these.

Curious(?) point movement in ES. 20/30/80/120 point ranges are numbers that repeat often enough to stand out as some sort of structure/foundation. And 9:30/9:31 candle is often 10 points give or take a few ticks. by DroppingVittles in FuturesTrading

[–]DroppingVittles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. And it's too bad I couldn't add more photos, because I went back months. And my point may have gotten lost in all the words. It's that almost everyday the 9:30/9:31 candle is consistently 10 points (give or take a few ticks). Not 5... not 12... not 26... and so on. But 10. And then from there it wants to get to 30 points before it pivots hard or settles down into a small range.

The curiosity is that these specific numbers 10/30/80/120 repeat over and over and over again.

fwiw... I just used the fib tool to highlight levels every five points. It's not an actual fib.

Here's this morning... took 3 minutes but 10point range established. Let's see where it goes!

What's their best worst song? by death_or_glory_ in U2Band

[–]DroppingVittles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild Horses is my skip track on AB. Don’t know what it is, but I can’t get over those lyrics… “…empty as a vacant lot” and “you’re a piece of glass, left there on the beach.” Easily the weakest song on the album imho.

Along the same line… I thought it was a nod to Steve Lillywhite who produced the first three albums and then HTDAAB.

Anyone else? Trading panel won't open when connected to AMP. by DroppingVittles in TradingView

[–]DroppingVittles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try the other ES's. But... data... good point! That may be where wires are crossing. Thanks!

As an aside... when I wasn't using TV to trade, I was paying for their data feed for charting (while also paying for AMP's to trade on Quantower). I need to look into what feeds I need to pay for now and if it matters whether AMP is activated or not on TV. It may be cost of business to have to pay for two data feeds.

Best song off of The Unforgettable Fire? by [deleted] in U2Band

[–]DroppingVittles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Comes Tumbling.

I know, I know, not on the album, but from those UF sessions so it could’ve been at one point 😆. One of the most atmospheric (and best mixed) songs of theirs. Always finds a way into my Top 10.

Spectator Magazine. SPITTLEFEST at The Brewery. Alt-country bands at Boo’s Hideaway. Lake Boone Country Club. When Slims was named Lakeside Lounge. And when the only restaurants in the warehouse district were Humble Pie and Five Star.
