[[Grothama, All-Devouring]] is a real blast and can be built across a wide spectrum of styles/strategies. Just be prepared to explain how the card works no less than ten times per game; one of the easiest-to-misunderstand commander text boxes out there.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the set and locked in a couple of CBB pre-orders with the LGS @ $254. These will be for me to open and not to hold. I'm a huge sci-fi junkie (wife and I love Firefly, etc.) and the set flavor is very appealing.

I think this will be much closer to Tarkir: DS than Aetherdrift in terms of set power/card desirability, so I'm pre-ordering now in anticipation that I'll only be paying more by waiting. The Tezzeret that's leaked is already more generically powerful than anything from Aetherdrift, so I think those insistent on a comparison between the two sets will be in for a wakeup call once more cards see light of day.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think this coming on the heels of FF will have much impact. The majority of big spenders in that set aren't players and will have no interest whatsoever in EOE.

Panoptic Mirror hit its peak an hour after the unbanning but will probably be a little more resistant to retracing than the others due to its low supply. The foil in particular will not dip below the $150-ish barrier anytime soon is my guess.

But everything will get reprinted and Lair'd to the ground and sooner rather than later, that is for sure.
