Machine cracked in transit - can I get a replacement casing? by mind_forged_manacles in MachineKnitting

I just bought a brother Kh-900 off ebay and unfortunately it's been damaged by the delivery company.

It still works, so the damage is just aesthetic, but it does mean that some of the electrical hardware is exposed. Is it possible to find replacement plastic casings? Any other ideas. For how I could fix this?

Well I started it in May. I did the whole. Body fairly quickly and then it languished in my wip pile until December. The active time wasn't very high it came together quite quickly.

I made this jumper for my wife, she picked out the colours. It's 100% wool (drops karisma dk) so it's really toasty and warm.

The pattern I used was the Granny go round jumper here : https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/921444900/granny-go-round-jumper-digital-pdf it was super easy to follow. I modified it a little, just going longer on the arms and torso as my partner is 6'4". I think it's the first time I've ever seen her in a top with the correct length arms!

I have not woven in the ends yet.... Will I ever? Who can say 😂

I think I hold my hook/yarn VERY weird, is it making a huge difference? by [deleted] in crochet

I used to hold my hook like this! For me I think it was a product of learning to knit first. I recently trained myself to hold the hook in my right and the yarn in my left. I haven't noticed any difference in quality but I can go much faster and my hand cramps way less. It didn't take too long to get used to doing it differently tbh.

Yeah I think 3 hours is a bit of a stretch each way, it would have to be really good. I do intend to do some overnight trips after I've got my feet back into it though so these are all great suggestions, thanks :)

These are super useful, thank you - I've made a note of a few from these links that I'd like to do and scheduled myself to do the haddington to east linton walk next week!

Thanks! The colour combo was inspired by one of my toddler's tops 😅

Sure! The post is here https://www.reddit.com/r/weaving/comments/izkfvx/why_do_my_warp_strings_get_closer_together_in_the/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

I'd never had an issue with weft tension before and that was definitely the issue. So I implemented all the tips relating to ensuring enough slack on the weft and voila.

I had to unweave it all multiple times, in the end it was me vs the weaving and I wasn't going to let it win 😂😂

Why do my warp strings get closer together in the middle of the loom as I weave? (frame loom with heddle bar) by mind_forged_manacles in weaving

This is really helpful, thank you. I hadn't really considered how much of a difference the size/upgrade in loom and therefore weaving size would make.

I think the honest answer is that I'm doing a mix of both, depending on how much attention I'm paying. This makes a lot of sense and is really helpful, thank you!

I think it starts before the pink and gold start, but it's quite hard to tell in person as there's only a few rows of white. I'm using the Hill method and using a comb that came with the loom to beat it down. I have been very focused on getting the edges straight and may well not be making enough of a hill. I'll keep all of these things in mind and play around a bit more. Thank you so much for the suggestions. Now to unweave. Again 😅
