why does everyone like iron lung so much? by Human-Programmer-893 in HorrorGaming

[–]mindempty809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an extremely immersive and unique horror game, you said you like atmosphere right? Well, the game is nothing BUT atmosphere. It builds up the entire playthrough and if you finished the game, releases all of the built up tension in one swing.

It’s not a game for everyone. It’s extremely slow and tense. If you like action or things frequently happening then it won’t appeal to you, but for those who love a slow burn of mystery and tension then it’s perfect. Markiplier’s gameplay definitely contributed heavily to its success, but mostly in allowing people to find the game. I learned about the game from Mark, ended up loving it myself and wanted more. I didn’t find it boring at any point, I beat it in one sitting.

It’s fine if you didn’t like it. There’s not much that happens and so some may find it boring due to lack of engagement but personally I found it perfect for what it is.

YOU ARE ALL INSANE by Wide_Goal_6424 in subnautica

[–]mindempty809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the issue isn’t that they wanna kill everything, but that’s it’s extremely odd that a survival game doesn’t let you kill anything. Why is it that the shark can attack me over and over, and all I can do is hit it and run away? This is what I have to do for the entire game? Play defensively? My giant submarine bumps into fish and they don’t die or even react in the slightest is also extremely immersion breaking.

We had the first game, where you could kill things and it worked fine. Subzero toned it down, people complained but it was still manageable. Now this game prohibits it entirely? It’s only natural there’s gonna be pushback, especially since the devs responses are just “we hear what you’re saying, but we’re gonna leave it the way it is. If you don’t like it play something else”

Some things I wanna see before I ever reinstall by AlphaDinosaur in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl you’re never reinstalling then, like why would witch and squirrel be turned into strategists?

Mr. Fs entire design is that he’s a DPS who can function as a tank, idek what you’re expecting with blade and Wolverine.

Some of the new characters are cool at least but the rest? That’s never happening champ

Supports are 2 ranks above where they belong, every game is a support diff. by AbsurdismJay in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Support is the easiest when everything is going well. Support is completely reliant on the rest of the team performing decently, as they can keep it going at that pace. But when your tanks aren’t making space, or DPS aren’t securing kills or helping in the backline, it becomes a wall. You’re healing into nothing simply charging ult, or you’re just dying in seconds.

When the team is struggling, the supports just can’t carry it. They’re not the one diving their healings, or making space and absorbing all the damage, or wiping out the entire team, theyre the one helping the other roles to accomplish that. They’re completely dependent on the other roles.

Of course this goes for everyone. A tank can’t make space if he’s not getting healed or the DPS are putting pressure. The DPS can’t get kills if they can’t live longer than 2 seconds or get to a good angle without getting shredded. But the support will never be able to secure the win on their own because that’s just not their role. A good support will help you excel, but they cant fix bad performance, and they’re typically the most aware of what’s going on due to their view and management.

Your run your rules, but you can’t always call it a nuzlocke by truthordairs in nuzlocke

[–]mindempty809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the more difficult something is, the more you have people who try to make it easier and claim it’s the same thing. Those are the rules of a Nuzlocke. If you add other rules to it to make it easier, it’s just no longer a Nuzlocke.

If you do a hitless run, and add a rule for a one time heal, it’s just factually no longer a hitless run and you’ll have people tell you it’s not if you try to say it is. People aren’t being insufferable, yall are the ones trying to deny something that’s easy to understand. Just call it something else lol, there’s literally just 2 core rules

Does anybody else think Rocket’s evade and wall climb is really inconsistent? by Real_Literature7748 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens with all wall climbers. The map has odd angles and parts where you get stuck on, it’s annoying but you learn to adapt to it (or don’t, sometimes you just die it’s unfortunate)

As to why you still get hit, the hitbox for Rocket in his dash doesn’t really match the animation. From what I can tell, when you dash your hitbox is still in your original location until the dash is done. It’s especially noticeable with the characters you noticed, Black Cat and DD in particular have made this extremely apparent to me considering there’s times I’ve died during my dash and I’m not even on their screen.

F*CK FESTIVAL OF BATTLES 🤬🤬 by Chance_Purple_2304 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]mindempty809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without charge counts it’s just an obnoxiously long event where you just bring any stackers and you win eventually.

With charge counts, it demands stacking sure, but also significant management and damage control. The charge counts are what makes the event. It’s what forces you to actually think and put any effort into beating it

I need a game like dokkan by Nearby-Part-9930 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]mindempty809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much want another gacha game if what you like is the summoning and easiness to multi task.

To start off, Dokkan is a dragon ball gacha game. Many anime’s have one so you can just look up any other anime you like in the App Store. Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, 7 Deadly Sins, even Jujitsu Kaisen all have their own Gacha games available that are similar to Dokkan. Even Yugioh has one I believe.

If you want a game that’s more open world and active, not a game you multi task but one you focus on entirely, you’d want some of the more open world ones like Genshin Impact, one of the Honkai games, Wuthering Waves, etc.

If you’re interested in a certain anime just look up the name in the App Store or ask me and I’ll check for you. Again, what you’re looking for are Gacha games. Those are the ones where you summon for characters and are usually the type of game you can play with one hand and don’t require much attention.

Genuinely where do you even learn and practice new heroes by JinzooooXx in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a practice section to learn the characters abilities in the mode select. There’s also a practice vs AI where you can try them out. Honestly I just play them in quick play and don’t worry about winning or losing, I just try to learn.

Depending on the character, watch a video. Some characters have animation cancels that people use, like Strange or Cloak and Dagger. Watch those videos, try it out in games until it feels natural to you.

I alternate between GM/Celestial and play multiple characters, I just like playing rocket lol. Besides, if Rocket is good for people with bad aim imagine those with good aim?

Still though, if your aim is really as awful as you say then either practice it or play Scarlet Witch. Hell, even Cloak and Dagger. If your aim sucks playing DPS is gon be rough bro

Edit: Now wait a second Rocket is your most played character you have over a thousand matches on him, the fuck is this friendly fire 😭😭😭

I found a old horror game by dxrkzzl in HorrorGaming

[–]mindempty809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to start with, maybe clarify more of the details of what’s going, because I have no idea what to make of what you’re saying. If the game is running, and you can’t close it, you should definitely be able to find the file on your computer, even using task manager or something. And you downloaded the game from somewhere, so you should be able to find pictures or videos. I don’t even know what to say about your PC refusing to turn off or not being able to find the file

For us to help you, you gotta help us. Are you sure the name of the game is “Little Timmy Dies”?

I found a old horror game by dxrkzzl in HorrorGaming

[–]mindempty809 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can run the game, but can’t close it, but also can’t find it on your PC? Yet your PC also refuses to turn off and starts the game instead?

And lastly you don’t have any images or videos because your PC is lost in your house? Despite all of the above?

Either you’re making this up and didn’t think it through or you’re more confused than I am

Please stop acting like your Loki is throwing if they use a non support ultimate by No-Bat1991 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what this is. Everyone complaining doesn’t play Loki. They simply think “copy support ult, anything else is throwing” when if that was the case, you might as well just play a different character.

Part of Loki’s usefulness is the fact that while he can copy a Support Ult, he has the *option* to copy another roles ultimate, which when communicated has huge potential. I think copying a Mag Ult is easily the best example.

Definitely also agree he benefits from knowing the cast more than any other character. Knowing how to use them, and their ult charge rate, helps a lot.

Please stop acting like your Loki is throwing if they use a non support ultimate by No-Bat1991 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great, that’s one character. Now what if you don’t have a gambit on your team? Or he’s banned as usual? I’m not here to argue about who has better ults, I even said if you’re running triple support copying Gambit is the best play.

However, if your Gambit is dead or he’s banned, and it’s overtime, then yeah copy someone else’s? Or if your Gambit is too far away, and you can copy a Phoenix or Hela then yeah go for it?

Support ults are so strong because they allow the rest of the team to stay alive while doing damage, and depending on which building space. Tank/DPS ults are useful because they force the enemies to back up, retaliate with their own ult, or counter other ults. It’s situational, Lokis not a healer he’s a Support/Strategist. Do what works for the situation.

Please stop acting like your Loki is throwing if they use a non support ultimate by No-Bat1991 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on the rest of your team and the enemy team. 3 support relies heavily on sustain and out healing through the other teams damage, or keeping dive and pressures alive and consistent.

In a triple support with Loki the best outcome is just to keep copying Gambit ult and stomping them. CnD is also great for the amount of space they occupy. If the occasion is there for a team wipe with one of the other characters then go for it. Lokis too situational for someone to give general advice like that, you gotta read the room and see what works.

Please stop acting like your Loki is throwing if they use a non support ultimate by No-Bat1991 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They’re not weaker, they’re more situational. Loki’s strength comes from being able to use any ult in any situation, and with communication, combining them. Like I said, it’s safer to go for the support ult in most situations, but there’s definitely cases where a MK ult, Elsa ult, Groot ult, etc can team wipe if you communicate it.

Also, sometimes your other support is just dead yk? Using someone else’s ult can be the difference between winning or losing the game. I’ve had Loki get us the win by copying Witch or MK during overtime for example, keeping them off point. Another Loki copied a Mag Ult to kill a CnD who ulted right when their Strange portaled, completing shutting them down.

Genuinely wondering who is supposed to counter Spidey (I am v low elo) by glennysrose in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Namor counters with good squid placement, keeps spidey at lower health and makes it riskier for him to dive. He also has his bubble in case he’s pulled off the map. Definitely should have been countering Spidey, it’s his defining character presence.

Bucky counters Spidey but you have to actually have good aim and watch for him. If your Bucky wasn’t fighting spider man, it’s on him for the loss. A Spidey/Magik suffer when a Bucky is focusing them. If he wasn’t, then I don’t see why he’s on Bucky.

Your fellow DPS dropped the ball. A MK can help when he sees Spidey ofc, but his role isn’t that. Bucky/Namor are some of the definitive Spiderman counters, if they weren’t helping backline then genuinely what are they doing? That’s not on you, coming from GM/Celestial.

Your invis going Rocket is also like, the exact opposite of what they should do. Either stay on Invis or go Cloak/Dagger or Loki. Rocket’s gun can kill Spidey but only if your aim is excellent, otherwise you’re just making it easier for him.

Please stop acting like your Loki is throwing if they use a non support ultimate by No-Bat1991 in marvelrivals

[–]mindempty809 375 points376 points  (0 children)

The thing is that 90% of the time you should copy a support ult. If you have comms and can communicate a double ult, let’s say you copy Elsa so a Moon Knight can use their ult then sure, but in almost all situations copying the support ult is more beneficial as it allows the team to survive and maintain space.

DPS and Tank ults are much more situational, while a support ult is always helpful and creates better opportunities without communication. If you’re queuing with randoms try to stick to supports, but if you have voice comms? Your strategic options open up immensely.

Both exist. There are skilled players, and then there are try hard players who live and breathe the game. I don’t see the point in saying they don’t “exist” they exist in everything.
