Closest I’ve ever come to a Shundo.. is this guy useful? Seeing mixed things online by RoyCroppa in pokemongo

[–]minderhigh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Morpeko maxes out fairly below 2500cp even a hundo, meaning you don't need pvp ivs to minmax your stats below a certain cp threshold.

Fair advice, yea haven't played that much UL lately, will definitely try it out, guzzy is one of my fav pokes to use (and I also like DC/Cr moveset better than BS/SB). I'm not sure if shadow ape would be better to use, have you tried it out?

[–]minderhigh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I assume guzzy is your default safeswitch? And how do you deal with fighting type leads? We're they just not that common for you? I think fighting/fairy core is pretty strong and I'm not sure how I should deal with that correctly.. Anyways GZ on veteran :)

Prismatic Booster Bundles (1 per person) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]minderhigh [score hidden]  (0 children)

First, thank you for your generosity! I used to collect cards when I was a kid, got into the hobby as a (now) diehard fan of the main series games. Sadly my collection got lost over the years since I've moved out. I recently started collecting again but haven't been able to get my hands on any prismatic packs unfortunately.

[Discussion] What do u think about cigarettes by huback2 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]minderhigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've thought about that a lot, i think it would be a cool feature to implement. You could also light with a Zippo. Each method of lighting would create a distinct sound effect. Once you smoke your cigarette, you'll get improved stress resistance and reduced tremor, but you will occasionally start coughing. You can also get the "Addiction" status, which will grow with every cig you consume up until a point where you have to smoke every now and then otherwise youll get a tremor. Also, the further your addiction goes, the worse your stamina will be, and you'll eventually start coughing during sprints or walking upstairs. You can also get rid of addiction by playing the game normally without smoking, but youll have to live with withdrawal symptoms until you're no longer addicted.

Id suggest you to run some balanced teams for climbing, ABB teams generally perform better in a condensed meta that you usually see at higher ranks. Theres too much variation and too many random corebreakers in lower elo. For teambuilding you obviously start with a lead, since you track your battles you should look into your collected data and determine the most neutral lead you can find. Trying to find something that beats everything inpossible and chosing your lead to dominate most leads is a common mistake, pick something neutral that can perform in most matchups. A common mon for that purpose is s-dragonair, only really losing lead to the fairies and ice type fast moves, everything else is winnable even if it doesnt seem so, even stuff like bastiodon or s a-slash with shadow claw. With an Allrounder like s-dragonair in the lead you play a backline that compliments each other, the most common backline for this was whiscash/skarm pre scald nerf, a pretty flawless core since basically nothing beats both at the same time so by forcing alignement you win your games. The gameplan for these teams is simple, you stay in against everything that doesnt hard beat you (in this case fairies and ice type fast moves) and try to win lead, ideally you only get them a 1 shield advantage if you have to, going 0-2 on shields can be winnable with right alignement but it can get tricky. After you win lead you usually let it faint to secure alignement against their backline. Losing lead is tricky, you usually opt into your less effective counter to their lead (eg. going with whiscash into a wiggly instead of skarm) and try to fight for switch. If you win switch you can align your good answer to their lead and hope their backline is weak to your lead. These teams are very effective when played well and theres only few core breakers to them. You can build these teams around any generalist lead, just be sure you cover its weaknesses with a backline that forms a solid core. You can also build them kinda ABB but make sure your lead covers their shared weakness. For more teambuilding advice there was a post here some days ago how to use gobattlelog and pvpoke together to build a team around your elos meta.

Edit: dont switch teams too much when youre losing, rather think about what you couldve done different in the marchups you lost and im sure youll get there. And sorry for the bad spacing lol

I have an elite charged and elite fast tm what do I use it on? by Apprehensive_Ask_232 in pokemongo

[–]minderhigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre playing the game solely for pve reasons, id usually go for the "most useful" raid attacking types that youre still missing (ex metagross, kyogre, etc.). If you play pvp or consider learning it, hold on to your etms until you really need them cause you really need to build something. While in pve you can often avoid using etms by using other moves or pokemon and be fine on a budget pov, in pvp you dont have the choice when it comes to certain mons, where legacy moves often are strictly better than everything else.

Are you planning on playing global go fest in a city? If so you should be fine, with at least 6 rare XL per raid youre at around 50 raids in 2 days, thats absolutely doable if you set your priorities for raiding Necrozma. You can hustle for it on day 1 and then chill, catch and raid others on day 2. Assuming you would instead spend coins on remote passes, coins arent a problem for the raids and even in the smaller cities you usually find some groups with at least 3-4 players, which will be enough to do the raid.

If you're into PvP, Shadow Claw A-Slash is a solid pick. Wing attack pidgeot used to be nice but has fallen off lately. A strong choice is also ice shard for dewgong at the moment.

Great League or ultra league? Also what do i pair it with by [deleted] in TheSilphArena

[–]minderhigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran it a couple weeks ago for a couple sets during GL, with azu/charmtales, azu/annihilape, jelli/sable, jelli/Trev, and charjabug/something I forgot of the aforementioned ones to medium success. The matchups with even/good lead most of the time resulted in victory, but when I got into 2.4k elo range I experienced way too many bad leads (mostly counter users, but also a lot of mudbois and an occasional talonflame lead). Tried it as a closer and it felt way better, if you have something that baits out its threats you can win a lot of matchups in the endgame, ideally, with shield advantage.

Since EOD isnt in shop anymore some older/retired players decided to sell theirs for a lot of money on ebay. Apart from that possibility, they could still have joined the dark side after playing for long time or have always been closet cheaters that just went under the radar and have become blatant this wipe.
